For the first time...

I voted today. Can you believe that I have never voted before and today was the first. I haven't been keeping up with all the local politicians so I actually had a hard time filling out my ballot. Then I went to Starbucks and they gave me a free cup of joe.
The rest of my afternoon was spent playing with some new product. First, the Slice machine. It took me awhile trying to figure out how to go through all the icons on the card and when I did figure it out, I had to laugh at myself. Duh...need to press the small arrows to go through all the icons. I did cut out different sized shapes but I'll have to make something with it another day.
Then I took out my Just Rite samples and made a card with one of the big wooden stampers. I love how all these stamps fit in the Spellbinders dies perfectly and you can cut the different shapes out after you stamp it. Here's a card that I made.
I embossed the background with the Christmas ornaments embossing folder from Cuttlebug. The stamp is from Just Rite and I cut it out with the Spellbinders classic circle. The red circle frame behind that is the Hello Kitty die frame. And santa is from the new Sizzix Sizzlit Christmas set. The red bling is Hero Arts.Notice how big the stamp is from Just Rite? There's more sayings in the set and I'll be making cards to show you. Then I used a new XL die from Sizzix and made a favor box to hold treats.
This is the new box with tab die. I embossed the front with a Cuttlebug snowflake folder. And punched out a snowflake and poured chunky white glitter on it to look like snow. The stamp is from Hero Arts.
The glitter looks better in this photo. I got the glitter from the store. I actually like it better. It's easier to clean up chunky glitter than the ultra fine type that I normally use on my projects. The side of the box has a pleat which I didn't take a photo of but if you want to buy this die, just ask for the box with tab.
Well, hope you all voted today and thanks for stopping by to visit. Leave me a comment and I'm going to give away this cute clear stamp set. I think it's supposed to be a ladybug. I'll draw a winner before the weekend.

Good for you that you voted today -try absentee voting the next time -less stressful and saves a ton of time too. Love your new creations!

The AB form is just as easy or easier to fill out than the form you filled out to be eligible to vote.

I often wondered about JustRite. I thought it might be a die like Nestabilites, but I know now that it's just a stamp. Will J's be carrying JustRite?

I look forward to seeing this ladybug in person

Both projexts are just too cute! You'll have to show them to me IRL tomorrow at lunch. I love the box with tab, it is so dang endless!! I guess you'll have to show me the new Just Rite stamp that you used for this too...sorry so many questions. I really love how you used the metal rim on the ladybug card! Am I eligible to play for the candy? haha!

Yea, I'd be really happy if I win it too... I've never won anything from you before. LOL!!! These are cutie-patutie projects. Will J's be carrying the JR stamps? I'm still debating... I have got to get rid of a lot of stuffs I've brought in already... u know how it is. Right now, no room for the JR stamps yet.. but they look so good!!!

Thanks for sharing - can't wait to see more.

Thanks for sharing your ideas! I also enjoyed your make and take this past weekend. I got home and finished it up down to the cute polka dots on her ribbon. I didn't make it to the store, so I'm going to try and get there tomorrow to buy a xmas cuttlebug folder. Love that snowflake!
