Happy Easter card

Hi and happy humpday! Seems like it's been another long week from the last time that I posted. I'm using the same yellow polka dot paper from my card below because I had first cut this out to make my son's birthday card but then changed my mind. The shape is called postage stamp by Spellbinders. Love it!
This cute Easter bunny is one of the new sets from Dandelion Designs.
The card base is a Sizzix die called card A-2 with flap.
And the lacey frame is a sizzlit set called decorative frame set.
I cut the grass out using the Eclips machine. That machine comes in so handy when you're looking for an embellishment.
Thanks for stopping by today and I really appreciate all the sweet comments you leave me!!!

Happy birthday to my son

My son's birthday is this weekend and since he is a big LA Laker's fan, I thought I'd make a card using their colors. The stamped image is from one of the Greeting Farm sets that I have. I can't remember his name.
I really have a hard time making men or boy cards but I wanted to keep this as simple as possible. The shaker part was quite easy and I thought he would get a kick out of that.
I used Sizzix framelits to make the frame and base of the shaker card. I like the sizes of the framelits more than nestabilities. It's easier to fit these bigger stamped images in them.
The micro beads are Martha Stewart beads that I got from the store.
Here's a closer photo of the beads.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!!!

Easter bunny scalloped bag

Hi I'm back!!! Ok, I guess I'm on a roll using my Eclips machine. I am still cleaning my craft room and took a break an hour ago to make this Easter bunny bag. I cut the scalloped bag out using the albums, bags, and boxes cartridge. Then I used the Easter cartridge and cut this cute bunny face out. I actually changed the eyes because the one that comes on the cartridge is shaped like a teardrop and I wanted big round eyes. So I replaced it using a 1/2" circle punch and punched out black circles. The whites in the eyes are from a 1/4" punch.
I applied pink chalk near the nose area to give it a little color. Here's a side view so you can sort of see where I put the grass for the candy.
Hey, thanks for checking on me again! Have a great day!!!

Just for you!

I haven't touched my Eclips machine in awhile so today after I cleaned out some of my craft bins, I
decided to make something using the machine. I haven't made a mini album in awhile so I used the albums, bags, and boxes #2 cartridge to cut out this tag album.
Using the center point feature, I cut a shape out from one of the banner embellishments.
Here is the tag shape that I chose for my mini album. All stamps are Dandelion Designs.
The album folds in half in the middle. You can cut as many pages as you want but I just went with this one page for a sample. You can tie it with ribbon or twine in the middle to separate the pages. I bought this Bo Bunny paper from Ben Franklin Crafts last year and I finally broke down to use it. I tend to hoard something if I really like it. Ha!
And here is the opposite side of the album with a green tag. Sorry the photos aren't that great but I didn't feel like hauling my camera out to take pictures so I ended up using my phone. It is more of a lighting problem.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope your week is going great!!!

Sweet girl's day wishes

Happy Friday!!! The days are flying by so fast and Girl's Day will be here soon. It's a day I can't forget because I was in labor with my son many years ago. Ha!
Here's a card that I made using Dandelion Designs new Girl's Day stamp set and Sizzix zig-zag pop-up die. The three girls are actually 1 stamp but I separated them for this card.
I had a hard time stamping those little words on each fan. This set is really tiny but so cute!
Here's a peek at how the zig-zag pop-up piece looks like. The punched border is the MS cherry blossom border punch.
Thanks for stopping by today!!! I know I haven't been posting as much lately, but I've been getting side tracked on FB and also Pinterest. Pinterest is so addicting! Have a great weekend!!!

No frills Valentine

Hi, Happy Valentine's Day!!! Prior to leaving for CHA, I worked on this card and never finished it. Well, today I finally went downstairs to my craft room and thought I'd better finish it. I'm giving this to my husband for Valentine's Day and hope he likes it.
This is quite a different look for me. The paper is by Echo Park and it made me think that the card should look vintage. The cupid is a die set from Tim Holtz - mini cupid & heart.
The big ticket in the middle is a Hero Arts stamp. I love that stamp! They even have a die that will cut the ticket out.
Hope you're having a great Valentine's Day!!!

Hello Kitty bag with heart handles

Hi again! Yesterday, while I was at the store, I saw this older Sizzix XL die called bag with heart handles and decided to make something with it. I used one of the Hello Kitty dies to decorate the bag.I cut the heart handles with shiny silver card stock from Worldwin. It's like a mirror when you look at it.
Well, I'm leaving shortly for my one to one class. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to post one more project before we leave for CHA.

Hello Kitty fan

It was so hot today that I made myself a Hello Kitty fan so I could fan myself. I haven't used this Cricut cartridge for so long that I actually forgot how to use it. For the size, I cut it at 7 1/2" because it wouldn't let me cut it any bigger. And this size was perfect. If anyone knows how to cut only the eyes, nose and bow out, can you let me know?
Hope the weather cools down tomorrow and blow the vog away.
Anyways, have a great rest of the day!!!

Miss you!

Hi, I'm back! I finally got around to finishing this card today. I had to keep it simple because I wanted to focus on the glittered cupcake. This is the new line that I was talking about in my last post. The company is called Elizabeth Craft Designs and it's fun because you color all the glitter with your Copic markers. The cupcake is a sticker. The glitter is different from other companies because it is "microfine glitter". And when you run you fingers on the glitter, it doesn't come off or rub off like most glitters do.There are many sticker styles to choose from and tons of colored glitter and also this glitter that I used called warm highlights. This is the glitter color to use if you want to color your own glitter.
The tape that you use to pour the glitter on is called "Be Creative". And you don't have to color the glitter or use glitter in the sticker. You can just color the background without glitter.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a great one!!!

Fuzzy Bear #2

Hi and Happy New Year!!! Boy time sure does fly. Anyways, I made a real simple box that will hold 2 Dandelion Designs medium cling stamp sets. Valentine's Day is coming up and so I used Fuzzy Bear #2 on this box.I love that white round doily that I cut using the basic shapes cartridge for the Eclips machine. It's so handy to be able to cut shapes with the machine and not have to dig into my pile of dies.
I have this new line that I am selling now and I've been playing with some of the products. I'll post it here soon. Wait till you see what I am talking about.
Hope you're having a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by even though I haven't been posting much lately!!!

Kitty Kat Marci

Merry Christmas everyone!!! As usual, I'm late in posting again. I've had this LaLa Land stamp called Kitty Kat Marci for awhile and decided to make something with it for Valentine's Day. I used another matchbox diecut that my friend Gail sent me awhile back. I cut the clouds with my Eclips machine using the Baby Milestones cartridge. The border of houses is a Tim Holtz edge die.
I notice lately that I have to really squint my eyes to see where I'm coloring and some of it is out of the line. Haha! Guess it's time for a visit to the eye doctor.
Hope you're having a wonderful Christmas and spending time with your families!!!

Ruffles Marci

Hi, I'm back again! Gosh it's been so hard getting myself back into the groove. I've had this image of Marci stamped and colored a couple weeks now. I went to Ben Franklin Crafts sale last week Friday to do some shopping and I found a bag of pink feathers and thought that would look so pretty on my card. Can you see it?I used the french pastry doily die from Cheery Lynn Designs and I cut it out in silver glitter paper and cream cardstock.
Flowers and leaves are from the Basic Grey sizzlit set.
Hope you're enjoying your holidays. I haven't started my shopping yet because everytime I go to the mall, I end up buying things for myself. Ha!
Well, thanks for stopping by today and hopefully I get my groove back!

House giftcard holder

Hi! I have another project that I worked on today. I made this in an hour which is pretty quick for me. This is a new Sizzix scoreboard die that was released a couple weeks ago called "house giftcard holder" by Eileen Hull. There was really no assembly to it. I used adhesive to apply the paper over the chipboard before cutting it out.
I stamped Dandelion Designs panda bear and placed him over the door. When you open the door, you will see the giftcard. I tied a ribbon around the house to hold the door shut.
Well, this is the first year that I will actually cook a turkey. Wish me luck! I think I watched enough You Tube videos that I should be able to make it right. Lol!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for stopping by today!!!

Snowman Christmas

Hi, I'm back!!! It's been a much needed break and I'm finally starting to feel better. Here's a card that I made over the weekend because I didn't want to waste the die cut card. The die will probably be released next year.
I stamped and embossed the background with white on white.
Here is what the inside looks like when you "flip it" (the card).
Stamps are all Hero Arts - Snowman Christmas and Joy to All clear set.
Thanks for always stopping by and leaving your sweet comments! Have a great evening!!!

Merry and bright

I am finally starting to work on Christmas projects and today I opened a new Sizzix die that I recently bought from the store. There are a total of 10 bigz dies that come with a bonus textured impressions folder and this one is the stocking die. I made mine into a card by first folding the cardstock in half and placing the fold at the top of the stocking. I used the elephant from Dandelion Designs new cling set called "happy hello". The lollipop is from the "so sweet" set. I used glossy accents on the lollipop to give it a shine.
I'll be at the store tomorrow doing a make & take from 10-12 pm. We'll be using a bunch of these stamps.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!

The best things in life are friends

Happy humpday! I thought I'd take a break from making Halloween projects and make an everyday card instead. I bought a bunch of new stamps by Lala Land Crafts from the store last weekend and here's one of the stamps I used on my card today. This one is called "big panda Marci". She's so cute with her Ugg boots. For this card I took out one of my older dies from Sizzix called A2 card and used the window pane movers & shapers die to cut out the window. I'm so glad I still have these dies.
I used a Studio Calico stamp by Hero Arts for the background called "alphabet pattern" and embossed it with clear embossing powder.
Hope you're having a wonderful evening and thanks for stopping by!!!

Supplies:
Lala Land Crafts - Big Panda Marci
Sizzix A-2 card die, window panes movers & shapers
Hero Arts - Studio Calico alphabet background stamp and Things cling set

Friend to friend Halloween

I picked up a bunch of new items from the store the other day and made a Halloween card using Dandelion Designs Ping from the "friend to friend" set. I wanted to make him look like he was in a costume so I colored him green with copic markers. He's so cute! The purple background is actually white cardstock that I cut out using Spellbinder's "wonky rectangles" nestablities and using Tim Holtz distress inks, I inked the background in dusty concord.
Then I embossed it with Tim Holtz's texture fades Halloween & backgrounds set.
The pumpkins and trick or treat bag is from Dandelion Designs Halloween set.
Here's a picture of the make & take Halloween candy treat holder that I did at J's 2 weeks ago. We used the monster stamp from Dandelion Designs "smile" set.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a great week!!!

Sizzix Fresh Vintage Blog Hop - Flower Layers #9

Hi and welcome to the Sizzix Fresh Vintage blog hop! We are on the 2nd week of the blog hop and for today's project, we were asked to use "flower layers #9" from Eileen Hull's Fresh Vintage collection. Since Halloween is coming up at the end of this month, I decided to make a card using the die.
I used Sizzix album, fanciful XL die for the background of my card. First I stamped "Happy Halloween" from The Stamps of Life clear set, and I used leftover die cut pieces in black and white from a class we did last year and embossed it with the spider textured impressions folder from the spider & spiderweb set.
I cut the label design with my Eclips machine using the basic shapes cartridge. While working on my project, I kept thinking about candy corn which is why I chose the 3 colors for my flower.
And because I love using glitter, I poured chunky white glitter over each flower piece. Here's a close up of the glittered flower.
