Simple is best

See the candy holder on the right? I cut that out couple months ago and never used it. It is a Sizzix scoreboard cupcake holder die. Yesterday, I stuck some grass and candies in it and bagged it up and attached a tag. I may use this idea for this weekend's luncheon. I have a ton of scraps lying around on my craft table and ended up making this egg shaped card for Easter. The egg is cut from the Spellbinders egg nesties die.
The other day I found a bag filled with old EK Success punches that were my samples from back in the days and I found a little bunny punch. So I punched out little pink bunnies and stuck one on this card and decorated the inside of the card. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card. But the inside says, Happy Easter honey bunny. All stamps are Dandelion Designs.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a great Tuesday!!!

Quick and easy Easter treat box

This is one of my most favorite Sizzix boxes, box #2. I've used it so many times and in different ways. I cut out an oval shape using a Spellbinders nestie petite oval die. I just got this new punch from the store called daisy chain. It's so cute! By the way, it's on sale this week along with all the other new punches. Bunny stamp and eggs are from Dandelion Designs. Coloring was fast since the stamps are small. I filled the box with M & M's and tied a ribbon on the top.
I'm going to be at MunchKins in Mililani Town Center this Saturday doing a make & take from 10-12 pm. Hope to see you out there!
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great Monday!!!

Happy Easter

Here's what I made using the cut out piece from yesterday's post. I layered pieces of patterned cardstock over the cut out. The stamped background is a Hero Arts cling stamp called flower wallpaper. I used memento pink ink to stamp it and I love the subtle effect.I actually cased this card style from one of the Hero designers here. I tried coloring this CC Design stamp from what I learned last Saturday when Jodie did a copic make & take at the store. Thanks Jodie for all the tips.
I was so thrilled last week when I picked up my gf Teri for lunch. She made me this really cute bunny basket/tote. You should check out her blog because she has a tutorial on how she made this little cutie. Thanks Teri, I really enjoyed all the delicious candies that came with this. Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!!!

Friends forever

A couple of weeks ago, I was at the Ben Franklin Crafts store in Kailua for a meeting. Well, I walked by the closeout rack and happened to find a couple of my favorite brand punches on closeout and knew I had to grab them. I finally got the Fiskar's "oval and oval again" punches in two different sizes and had to make something with it. I used a Spellbinder's nesties to cut the center of my card and decorated the inside with these girls from Hero Arts called "sweet wonderful you".
I stamped the background of the card with a Hero Arts cling stamp called "flower wallpaper". All inks used were Memento inks from Tsukineko.
Tomorrow, I'll show you what I did with the center piece that I cut out with the nesties die. I didn't want to waste it.
Thanks for stopping by today and I really appreciate all the sweet comments that you leave me.
Have a great Thursday!!!

Two Emma's

The new CC Designs stamps are so cute that I've been stamping and coloring at night while watching tv. Although I do have a harder time coloring inside the lines at night. This first card is Cherry Emma. I used a Sizzix die for the frame called frame #2. The last time I used this die was for a tv shoot on The Joy of Crafting show where I made this into a gift card holder. The stamped background is a Hero Arts cling stamp called friends background and the white card is embossed from a Sizzix TI folder called winter set. This next card is Lil' Bug Emma. I used an XL die from Sizzix called layered elegant card. Sorry that this picture is at an angle but I was having a hard time taking it because of the lighting in my kitchen. The bottom piece is embossed with a Sizzix TI called dots and the top layered piece is embossed with a new TI folder called birds, flowers and branches. I met the artist at the CHA show and she gave me this set to play with.
Well, I'm so glad the weekend is here and I can play with some new craft toys that I picked up last week. Thanks for stopping by and have a great Friday!!!

Spring Emma

Couple weeks ago while I was in the store, I saw these new egg nestabilities from Spellbinders and knew that I wanted to make something with it. I thought Spring Emma would be so cute sitting on one of the eggs. For the card background, I used a Quickutz embossing folder that I bought from Stamps & Memories. The embossed oval die is from the Hello Kitty spring set. For some reason, her cheeks came out looking splotchy.
This next picture is a purse favor that I made using a Sizzix XL die called purse with ornate flap.
I used a Sizzix embossing folder for the dots background and made the flowers from the flower layers sizzlit set.
Well, I'm on my way out to some appointments this morning and grab myself a Starbucks coffee. Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a great Tuesday morning!

Easy treat holder

I totally forgot that I had this stamped image sitting on my craft table for weeks now. This is from the GF's cheeky collection called cheeky glamour. When my girlfriend Cheri was here last September, she left me this Sizzix die called "layered elegant card". I didn't want to make a card so I changed it into a treat holder using the fold technique. Here's a side view of the treat holder and I stuck a package of rice crackers in there and it fit perfect.
The embossed white background is from the Hello Kitty spring set and I also used Spellbinders large scallop ovals in both large and small sizes. Glitter paper is from Trimcraft.
Hope you're having a wonderful Monday and thanks for stopping by today!!!

Have a magical day!

Yesterday in the late afternoon, I spent several hours cleaning my sample room aka craft room. Everytime there is a new release of sales catalogs, I have to purge out the old. So after 6 trips up and down 25 stairs, I took a break. Starbucks coffee break... and dessert break... and craft break...
I made this bag called "peek a boo bag" using a Sizzix 12x12 pro die. It was one of the simplest bags I ever made. It takes 1 sheet of 12x12 paper and you fold on the crease lines and that's it. No glue or adhesive! You can fill it with goodies and close the top of the bag with a ribbon.
Stamps used are from Hero Arts called "magical castle". To make the grass, I used the Martha Stewart fringe scissors.
Here's a side view of the bag. I tried to get a good photo but sometimes what I see through the camera isn't exactly the angle that I am trying to get. Anyways, the side is a triangle and the top of the bag flaps over.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a magical day!!!

Polka dots or stripes

Yesterday, I did a make & take at the store. This was actually planned for last Saturday, but the store was closed in the morning because of the tsunami watch. We used the Sizzix Big Shot Pro machine to make this pocket card holder. It is a 12x12 die and I thought it would be nice to let everyone try out this new machine. The scallop circle is on one of the A6 card dies but you can also buy it separate. It is one of the movers and shapers die. I couldn't decide which Pebbles paper to use so I gave everyone a choice of polka dots or stripes. And polka dots was the favored paper to use.
We used Quincy from Dandelion Designs for the stamped image. He's such a cutie! And instead of putting a card in the pocket, I gave everyone nori rice crackers to put in the pocket.
Well, I'm off to craft with some ladies today and hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Back to school

When my husband gave me this stamp back in January, the first thing I thought of was my daughter who recently went back to college to take a couple of classes this year.I used the Sizzix gatefold card die to make the card. Stamp is from TGF. Background stamp is raindots background from Hero Arts. Spellbinders nestabilities Label 3 and paper is white core from DCWV.
The inside says, "hang in there". LOL! So far she has been and I don't know how she works full time at a nursing home, part time at a kid's store and goes to school 5 days a week.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a great Monday!!!
