You're special

This is the make & take we did last Saturday at J's. It was great to see everyone and some new faces too. My last make & take was back in April. We made a box using a Sizzix bigz die like the ones I posted during this past Easter. This is the girl box and there was a boy box too but I forgot to take a picture of that one. I love that cute little scallop punch that I bought from Ben Franklin Crafts. It's so easy to stamp little words in it.
Next month is the paper party at Ben Franklin Crafts in Pearl City and that is one of the projects that I have to work on next.
Supplies:
Sizzix bigz envelope die, Spellbinders classic small circle, Dandelion Designs stamp, Hero Arts ink 'n stamp, acetate for window, Ek Success scallop punch, Worldwin doublemates cs, American Crafts ribbon and Copics.

Envelope box

I've been cleaning my craft room to make room for all the samples and catalogs that have been arriving lately. I came across this bigz envelope die which I didn't even know that I had. I like it because it's plain and you can decorate it with punches. I bought these EK Success punches from Ben Franklin Crafts the beginning of this month. All four sides of the box has a different animal.
I used a bunch of scraps again. The stamps are from Hero Arts called Cute Critters ink n' stamp set.I colored all the animals with Copics. Still learning how to use these pens.
This die makes a pretty good sized box that you can put packaged gifts in it.
Supplies:
Sizzix bigz square envelope die, Hero Arts cute critters ink n' stamp set, and EK Success punches
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a great week!!!

Scrappies and a rak

Yesterday, after cleaning up my crafty mess and packing all my supplies for tomorrow's tv show taping, I ended up using the leftover scraps to make this card. I used Hero Arts woodgrain stamp to emboss the background on the card. The chinese girl's clothes was leftover from another stamped background. I've been wanting to use these felt flowers from Hero Arts and it matched the card so well. These are self adhesive so it's real easy to stick it wherever you want it. The word stamp is from Stampin Up.I have an extra package of flower felts to send to someone so leave me a comment, something funny, and I'll pick someone to send this to. I'll pick a winner on Saturday.

Speaking of funny, this was once my favorite teak chair until yesterday. While I was downstairs packing my projects for tomorrow's tv show taping, I heard a loud crash and then some moaning. Actually, this chair wasn't real safe to sit on. As long as you didn't lean back on it, it was okay to sit on. But if you leaned back on the chair, it would fall apart. Well, my daughter was eating her dinner and must of leaned back and then the chair crashed. It's not repairable either since the wood cracked apart by the legs. Well, my husband comes home and sees my chair in pieces and tells me that he should of brought the glue home and if I want, he can glue it back for me. Uh...yeah sure.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave me a funny comment to win a package of Hero Arts felt flowers.

Here's another new favor box from Sizzix and it is called "favor box". I used the strawberry sizzlit die to hang over the box.Seeing all those strawberry projects that Lori made this past weekend inspired me to finally use this die. Can't believe it was sitting on my table unopened since last year.

Supplies:
Sizzix XL favor box die, stawberry sizzlit, Doodlebug glitter dot paper, CB swiss dots folder, Stickles gg, Offray ribbon, pipe cleaner and bakers twine.

Got lucky today

Thanks Lori, had a great time today and I used the animal print paper you gave me. There were so many crafty projects today and everyone made something different. I should of taken pictures. As soon as I got home, I went downstairs to my craft room and took out my new Sizzix die from the store.
This is the new XL suitcase, bag die that the store received during the week. It's actually quite big and can fit a bag of candies or cookies in it.
I took the photo this evening so it's quite dark. The handle on the bag is gold foil. I wanted to jazz it up a bit. The kitty is smaller and from one of the deco strip dies.
I had no idea that my husband sells these animal print papers in the store and now I'll have to go check it out and see what's left.
Supplies:
Sizzix XL suitcase, bag die, Hello Kitty w/ Kathy & flowers deco strip die, DCWV animal print paper, and Stickles gg.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!!!

Couple days late

I meant to post this on Sunday but I didn't get to finish it in time to post it. This was the complementary colors last Thursday for the Hero Arts blog. I had a hard time working with yellow and purple and it's probably because these colors remind me of Easter. Once again I used the woodgrain stamp for the card background and the screen shadow stamp for the purple piece. The word stamp and snail are both from the Ink 'n Stamps sets.I have to share this with you because I have never seen anything like it before. My daughter just came back from a trip to Japan and she bought some packages of Hello Kitty shaped nori. It's the cutest thing! You make your musubi and put the Hello Kitty nori face on it. There are all kinds of shapes but she just bought a couple different ones.
And these little plastic things here are for your condiments when you make your bento lunch.
These were the best because she brought me back all these Hello Kitty fabrics. They're so cute that I don't even want to cut them up. I'll probably end up making some quilts with them. She did request a tote bag for herself. Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a great week!!!
