Be My Valentine

It seems like we just celebrated the New Year and now Valentine's Day will be here before you know it. Yesterday I ran downstairs to my craft room to tape up a box for mailing and couldn't resist making a card while down there. Here's my 5 minute card. I used another Dandelion Designs image that was colored and cut. I forgot the monkey's name but I thought he would look cute on my card. All the embossing folders are from Sizzix called Valentine set #4.
The border punch is from EK Success and I know you can't see it but the scallops have embossed dots on them.
My silly husband asked me if he could borrow the card to give it to me next month. Ha!
We'll be leaving for CHA in a couple of days so I won't be posting anything until I get back.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a fantastic week!!!

Love Elliot

I made a couple samples this past weekend using Dandelion Designs stamps. For this project, I used Sizzix's milk carton pro die to make the box. I had colored and precut some of the images last week. The elephant stamp is from the bubbles and smiles cling set and the heart border is from the lots of love cling set.The embossed background is from the Sizzix curlique hearts folder set.
And I punched out the word love from the Martha Stewart alphabet punch set.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!!!

Happy wishes

I must be on a "happy" roll these days being that my last project was a happy thought. This is another one of the new cling stamps that was just released from Dandelion Designs. The card is an acetate card and I stamped the flowers on a regular white card for the background and placed it in between the acetate.I stamped the little japanese girl on Xpress paper for copic markers and made her hair and the first balloon look 3-D. And added glossy accents to all the balloons. If you have never tried the copic paper, I highly recommend it. It is so crisp and clear and the colors don't bleed. I picked some up from the store.
I've been trying to finish up on a lot of things before we leave for CHA next week. I hope to post a few more projects before then.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a great week!!!

Happy thoughts

I've been busy in my craft room the past few days, getting ready for another tv show taping. I usually stamp and color a couple of the same images and I had this one extra mouse image on my table and decided to make something with it. It's from a new cling stamp set called "Happy Thoughts".
I recently bought this new Martha Stewart punch called "rose window" and you can punch anywhere on your paper using this punch. It comes apart in 2 pieces and is magnetic and you place your paper in between the 2 pieces and punch it out.
I used Sizzix's XL popcorn box die and punched the middle of the box using the MS punch. Then embossed the box with the curlique hearts embossing folder. I wasn't planning on making a shaker with this but it ended up being one. The heart punch is also a magnetic punch called "studded heart".
And because I'm such a klutz (always tripping and walking into things), I dropped the box on my slippers at the top of the stairs and the glitter glue on the heart rubbed on my slippers. That is why part of the heart has no glitter on it.
Well, hope you're staying dry and warm today. Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

Hope you have a very special birthday

My daughter's birthday is coming up this weekend, so I told myself that I better start now and make her a birthday card. I just got some new Hero Arts stamps so I decided to use them for the card.I love this new wood stamp called "you rock". It's so perfect for her since she's always listening to music. The background stamp is a cling stamp from the Christmas release called music background. I stamped with VersaMark champagne and poured clear embossing powder over it.
I'm not sure why I chose these colors but I went through my scrap pile and decided to use these scraps up.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a wonderful day!!!

Year of the rabbit

Happy New Year everyone and I'm so glad that I was able to make something today. I've been having some problems with my neck again and wasn't able to do any crafting since before Christmas. Anyways, since this is the year of the rabbit, I wanted to combine a Valentine's project using an older Hello Kitty die, Kathy bunny for the rabbit.
The picnic basket is a new Sizzix pro die. I embossed the lid with a texture impression set called curlique & hearts set. The red medallion is a Tim Holtz rosette die.
You can put a bunch of goodies in this basket since it holds quite a bit.
I glittered the bunny and used glossy accents on the red heart to make it shiny.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a great evening!!!
