Do you ever forget where you place things? I have been searching high and low in my craft room for the cutting pads for this Tim Holtz edge die. Hope I find it soon...
After I stamped and colored Kiki La Rue, I noticed it was so off centered and I didn't want to throw it away. I decided to use one of Tim's edge dies to cut out my shape.
This one is called ornate and it cuts only the edge out. So you can make your card any size that you want. The "thanks" word is a Martha Stewart border punch.
Well, I am off to an appointment. Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a wonderful Thursday!!!

A new obsession
Recently, I've been seeing a lot of deco tape used on cards in blogland. While I was in one of the Sanrio stores last week, I found a bunch of tape rolls with different designs and well, I ended up buying a bunch of them. They even have Hello Kitty ones. So that is what inspired me to make this strawberry card. I used a Sizzix die called flower and strawberry to die cut the strawberry. This was a die from last year's release.
Mother's Day is coming up next month and here is another idea for mom using a Sizzix die. This one is the scoreboard tea cup die that is a brand new release. I had leftover purple covered chipboard so that is why the tea cup is purple. I embossed it with a new textured impression folder called birthday set #3.

With a cherry on top...
The early part of last year, my husband came home with this Sizzix die and asked me if I could make something with it. I must of forgotten about it since it was put away with all my other dies and I only found it recently while going through the mess. I decided to put Miss Kiki La Rue on this cupcake since she is holding a cupcake too. By the way, this is an XL die called cupcake card with holder. I ran the cupcake holder part through my Fiskars paper crimper.
Threw on some chunky glitter for the frosting and a Sizzix rub-on for the word. Rub-on's come in handy when you're rushing to finish. Here is what the cupcake holder looks like and the card that goes in the holder.
If you're not busy on Saturday and want to do some crafting, head on over to Ben Franklin Crafts in Kailua for their paper party. I'll be doing a make & take there from 10-12 pm. And when you're done, I'll be giving you some freebies. And to top it off, if you've been wanting a Sizzix Big Shot PRO machine, the store is having a drawing to give one away! Wow!
Thanks for stopping by today and I really appreciate all the sweet comments you leave me. Have a great Thursday and hope to see you on Saturday!!!

Hello Kitty in the garden
It's been awhile since I've taken out my Hello Kitty dies and made something with it. So today while packing up my things for tomorrow, I decided to use the Sizzix carry all box and put Hello Kitty on it. I used the fence die from a couple years ago to decorate the box. And all the papers are scraps from other projects. Lately since I've been cleaning out my craft room, I've been finding stuff that I forgot I even had.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a great Tuesday!

Mother's Day idea
There are a bunch of new dies that were just released from Sizzix and are in the stores now. This box is a scoreboard die and is called "box with scalloped flap". It is a lot bigger than the business card box. You can probably put a bunch of gift cards in it for your mom for a Mother's Day gift. I cut the roses out of felt from a new die called "3-D flowers". The green label die cut is a cut out piece from the ornate box die. I embossed it with the animal print embossing folder.
Here's a close up of the rose. It was real easy to make the rose. I used a bamboo skewer to make it.Here is the pocket card that we made this past Saturday for the make & take at the store. We used Tim Holtz dies to decorate the card. It's kind of a different look for me but I am liking the vintagy distressed look these days.
Before I forget, I will be at the Ben Franklin Crafts Kailua store this week Saturday, April 24th
from 10-12 pm doing a make & take for their annual paper party celebration. I hope you can come and join us because there will be a lot of make & takes going on throughout the day and prizes too. And everyone who comes to my table will get a free die, actually 2 in the package. But you have to make the project. Hope to see you there!

Need a new home...
Edit - The rack went to a brand new home. Thanks everyone!!!
I've been cleaning out my craft/sample room and decided to get rid of my paper tower rack. It is a 12x12 paper rack and has 29 trays. Should be 30 but somewhere down the road it is missing 1 tray. I would like to give this rack a new home. The frame is wood and is an EK Success rack that used to hold all my paper samples. If you are interested, send me an email. You will also have to pick it up. And it is free.
Have a great Thursday!!!

For Mother's Day
I saw this cute Emma stamp in the store over the weekend and bought it even though Easter is over. To cover the eggs that are in the basket, I placed flowers over it. And I love how this pink/green color combination on the paper makes the colors stand out. This card reminded me that Mother's Day is coming up. Even though my mom is no longer here, I still have many fond memories of her.
Initially I stamped "Happy Mother's Day" on the inside of the card but it somehow got messed up. So I decided to cover it up instead of throwing the card away.
Well, hope you're having a great day! I'm still finishing up our taxes. Thanks for stopping by today!!!

A little early for Boy's Day
In between scrapbooking and working on several make & takes, I had some Dandelion stamps sitting on my craft table and decided to make something with the Boy's Day stamps. I used an older Sizzix XL die called bag with scallops. I left the sides of the bag off and just used the main piece. The background stamp is one of my favorites right now from Hero Arts called dots. This was the first time I used my blue memento ink pad.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!!!

May all your wishes come true
This past Saturday, I was over at MunchKins in Mililani Town Center doing a make & take using all Hero Arts stamps and accessories. I precut the project using a Sizzix die and had everyone stamp, color, cut and put it altogether. We used a clear stamp set called "magical castle"and the background stamp is a cling stamp called dots. This was the first time I used the new Hero hues paper and I like how one side is a color and the other side is white. And because it was Easter, I gave the ladies a Hersheys candy to put in their project. If you haven't gone there yet, go and check out MunchKins in Mililani Town Center. One of the ladies that came by on Saturday brought me this really cute Easter basket that she made! Thanks so much Gail, it was so sweet of you!My husband came home with this next basket from Jenny V. I met Jenny at Teri's summer party last year. I love that CC Designs stamp that she used to decorate the egg shaped basket. She filled it with lots of candies and even these really cute flower shaped buttons. They were so cute! Thanks so much Jenny!!! So thoughtful of you!
This next basket was made by Lori. It is so cute and I love all the different embellishments and colors that she used. Thanks so much Lori!!! I want to get the instructions from you for this one.
