Happy Easter candy/card box

Happy aloha Friday!!! I finally had a chance to make something today. I love this cute Hello Kitty bunny die and eggs die. I used a candy/card box svg cut file that I got from Eunice last month. She comes up with some amazing projects and makes them into cut files. You have to check her blog out.
Well, hope you have a great Easter holiday weekend and thanks for stopping by today!!! Sorry such a short blog post but I have to finish up some paperwork before tomorrow.

Easter baskets

While I was at home recuperating two weeks ago, I spent some time cutting and gluing these Easter baskets together. My craft room is finally looking so much better but I could use more space. To cut these baskets, I used my Eclips machine and bought a cut file from SVG Cuts. In fact, I bought a bunch of cut files. Lol!
I used Kathy bunny from an old Hello Kitty deco strip die. It was quite fast and easy to put her together. I love this solid cardstock that I bought from Ben Franklin Crafts awhile ago. It was such a great deal and tons of paper in the pack. Very nice quality paper.
Here's the pink basket.
A green one.
And a yellow. I wanted to make a purple one but couldn't find the right purple colored paper. Now I have to finish wrapping them up and they will be all ready to go.
I'm going to be at Ben Franklin Crafts Market City this Saturday doing a really cute make & take from 10:00 - 11:30 am. Hope you can make it down for the celebration!
Thanks for stopping by and hoping to see everyone this weekend!!!

Catching up

Hi there and Happy Girl's Day!!! I know it has been awhile since I last posted (Dec. 2012) and I have been trying to catch up with everything since we came back from CHA which was back in January. Anyways, to make a long story short, I ended up in the ER last week Monday and stayed in the hospital for 3 days. My husband and I went for our normal exercise (fast walking) and about a third of the way, my heart started to beat rapidly so I sat down to wait it out. Then we continued on and I had to sit down again. I don't even know how I made it back to the car but when we got to the Ward parking lot, I almost passed out and pretty much laid on the ground and told my husband that I needed to go to the ER. We went back home and he told me that he will take me to the doctor. Well, I couldn't even walk and so they put me in a wheel chair. I took an EKG and my doctor said that I needed to go to the ER right away! I had this heart monitor attached to my body for 3 days. They wouldn't let me take a bath or walk around the room. The doctor gave me meds to slow my heart down so that is what is helping me now. I still have to take more tests to find out what is wrong with me.
Back in January, I taped the Joy of Crafting tv show with Joy. Here is a photo of the project that I made for the show.
I used Karen Burniston's pop 'n cuts base die and the square ornate frame magnetic die to make this card. The stamped bear is from Dandelion Designs called bear hugs.
Paper used is from Doodlebug Designs and Ben Franklin Crafts had the whole collection. I'm not sure what is left, but this is actually from the Valentine's collection but you can't really tell right?
The last photo is the front of the card. I used all the scraps to decorate the card.
Sorry I've been away for so long but I'm glad you stopped by and look forward to getting back into posting again.
Have a great week!!!

New Sizzix dies

I finally got my hands on some of the new Sizzix "thinlits" dies. They are different from the framelits. I made this card today using the "fancy label and flowers" set. The dies come with a small sheet of ejection foam in case you need to use it to get your die pieces out of the die.
I used only 2 of the 6 dies that are in the set to make this card. I wanted something easy for a thank you card. The stamp is Hero Arts.
And the dies come packed in this cute plastic envelope. Great way to store your thinlit dies.
So hard to believe that the year is almost over and soon it will be 2013. I've been trying to clean my craft room but it seems endless. Everytime I start to organize, either the UPS or FedEx man shows up with more boxes and then I'm back to finding a new home for my things.
Well, thanks for stopping by today!!! And if I don't get a chance to do another post, Happy New Years!!!

Joy and Hello Kitty

Hi and happy Friday!!! This is probably the first year that I haven't posted holiday cards. But today I made this clean and simple card using the "bubble joy" die from Memory Box. I stamped a holiday message on the inside of the card.
I love how easy this was to make and I'll probably have to make several more.
This next photo is a long notebook that I made and used a Hello Kitty die on the cover of the notebook. I made a bunch of these in different colors for the stamp club group ladies.
I had a stack of precut notebooks lying around and finally found a use for it. Hope the ladies like it.
Thanks for stopping by even though I haven't been posting as much as I would like to. It's been quite a year and looking forward to 2013!

Sizzix new gift card holder

Hi! Here is something that I made when I got the new Sizzix gift card holder die last week. I like that the die came with 2 textured impression embossing folders and I didn't have to go digging through my storage box filled with embossing folders.
I used Dandelion Designs new "holiday gift card" stamp set. I took this photo with my phone to post on Instagram so that is why there are objects around it. Part of the mess on my craft table. And see that wooden alphabet set, it is one of the new Decorate It sets that Hero Arts made exclusive for Target.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!!!

New Sizzix carry all box

Hi! I got a couple of new craft things over the weekend. I saw this new Sizzix die in the store and I know it looks like the old carry all box die but this one comes with 2 textured impression embossing folders and a "talking tag". Talking tag is one of the latest thing that Sizzix released this past summer. You do need a smart phone in order to use it. But what it does is, you can record a message on this QR coded sticker and stick it on your project and the recipient of your gift can listen to your message. It is the coolest thing!
Back to my box. I used Dandelion Designs newest stamp called "sakura frame".  And that "just for you" saying was sitting on my craft table from an earlier project so I decided to use it.
I used one of the textured impression embossing folders for the front of my box and dabbed some white ink on the raised dots.
I found this bottle of clear glitter in the store. It's called Tim Holtz distress clear glitter and I love the effect of it when I sprinkled it on the flowers.
And before I forget, if you want to win some Hello Kitty products, leave a comment on the post below. I will be drawing the winner tomorrow - Halloween!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!!

Hello Kitty Giveaway

Hi! A couple of weeks ago, the great folks at Horizon Group USA sent me a box filled with Hello Kitty scrapbooking products, all for free!!! I was told that these items are only available at the Michaels stores on the mainland.
These are the items that I received and much, much more!
So here are a few things that I made using products from the kit. And I still have lots of it left. (Warning, very long post ahead). First up is a pillow box which is in the 12x12 paper pad assortment. I used a Sizzix framelit die for the frame on the box. I wanted to show the red cherry gumballs that I put inside the box.
Next I used the square box that is also in the 12x12 paper pad. After I assembled it together, I chose one of the punch outs to decorate the box.
There is so much product just in the 12x12 paper pad!
And lastly, I decided to make a mini scrapbook album. I used a Sizzix pro die called pocket page and tag to cut the mini album. I used the different lists from the small memo pads and glued them on to the tags.
It was so easy to assemble everything. Here's the tag that I placed in the front cover.
This is the 2nd page of my album. I used stickers from the 12x12 paper pad to decorate all the pages.
These are the different lists that I placed on each tag.
Here is the 3rd page of my album.
And the lists that I used for these tags.
Here is the back of the album.
And the list that I used for the last tag.
Here's a view of the album opened. I used metal circle rings to hold everything together.
And now for the "giveaway"!!! Do you like free stuff? Especially if it's Hello Kitty stuff? Well, here's your chance to win a package of these Hello Kitty scrapbooking products. Just leave me a comment and if you just want to say hi, that is fine too. I will draw a winner on Wednesday, October 31st Halloween. Please make sure there is some way for me to contact you too.
Winner needs to be 18 years or older and a US resident. The package will be shipped directly from Horizon Group USA.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!!!

Another gimme candy box

Hi and happy Friday!!! I can finally post this because I had to make a bunch of them for tomorrow's stamp card get together. I cut this witches hat on my Eclips using the Ecal and SVG cuts. When you lift the triangle piece, the candy sits in the box which is sitting on the circle part of the witches hat. Sorry, I forgot to take a photo of it.
I cut the bat using the spooky cuties file from SVG cuts.
I used distress ink on the edge of the bat so it would stand out on the hat.
This past Monday, my husband and I went to eat brunch at this place in Kilohana Square called "Sweet-E's". Omg, the food was so ono! I had the waffles with fruit. And I remembered to take a photo of it after I had couple bites. Ha!
My husband had the chicken pesto meal. It looked like a pizza but it was actually a pita bread with chicken, cheese and pesto sauce. If you've never been there, go and try it out. The decor is country cottage beachy theme.
Well, the weekend is here and hope you all have a great one!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Action wobble pumpkin

Hi and happy Thursday! Lately, I've been using my Eclips machine to cut out favor boxes for Halloween. SVG Cuts has a new one for Halloween called "gimme candy boxes". This is the first box that I made. It is in the shape of a tombstone. So cute! Everything I cut is on the svg file. Even the spiderweb border.
I wanted to give the pumpkin more dimension and movement so I put an action wobble thingy behind it. The 2nd photo looks blurry because I was trying to take the picture of the pumpkin in action.
I stuck on those googlie eyes which I found at Ben Franklin Crafts.
I'll be back with another favor box that I cut from the same file.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Halloween Night and Pumpkin Kitty

I was so excited the other day when I received Dandelion Designs's new stamps for Halloween that I went straight to my craft room. I also love these new papers from Doodlebug Designs. I used Tim Holtz pocket envelope die for both projects. The first stamp is called Halloween Night.
I used distress ink for all the white edges. I can't remember the names of the inks I used but they were perfect for inking the edges.
I love this yellow striped washi tape from Freckled Fawn. I didn't want to put a ribbon on this so I went with the tape. If you plan to use washi tape on your projects, it's best to add some adhesive to it so it sticks permanently.
Here's the next pocket envelope using Pumpkin Kitty. This stamp set comes with the jack o lantern face and I felt so silly staring at it wondering how I could use it and then it hit me. I'm supposed to stamp it on the pumpkin! Lol!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit! Have a great weekend!!!

5 minute matchbook treat holders

Hi, and I'm back with some 5 minute matchbook treat holders. I was cleaning up my mess the other day and got distracted with the scraps on my table. Making this matchbook was so quick and easy using my Sizzix Tim Holtz matchbook die set. I used the Martha Stewart graveyard border punch to punch out the background and I had the spider stamped in a circle already laying on my table. I had planned to use it for something else.
The spider is a Dandelion Designs cling stamp from last years set.
And the word stamp is a clear Hero Arts stamp from last year too. I put some candy corn on the inside of the matchbook.
All the stamps on the smaller matchbook are Hero Arts. I used Tim Holtz's orange marmalade distress ink for the background behind the haunted house.
The circles are Sizzix framelits dies.
Here's what the matchbook die looks like.
Thanks for stopping by today!!! Have a great week!!!
