I stamped again...

I decided to make a card for Teri's blog candy and this is what I came up with. And truthfully, I have never made a Father's Day card before, so this is the first. I did try to stamp the word "dad" in a crooked way but I messed up and thats why I have that red rub-on behind the dog. But it sorta blends in with the dog. Have a great evening!

A quick one...

I stamped all afternoon. I made samples for one of the stores and then ended up playing with these new stamps from a line that I also sell. They came out really cute! I need to practice stamping a little more.
I used leftover scraps for the background paper, Marvy punches and cardstock.
Okay, back to stamping samples. I'll post the rest later.

A couple weeks ago...

I won this Betsey bag from a RAK that Sara posted on her blog. Sorry, forgot to post a picture when I received the goods in the mail. And, she also put a bunch of scrap goodness in the box for me to play with!!! I was
totally thrilled to get all of this. Go check out her site because she has some really rad kits for sale every month.

Remember the make-it, take-it I had this past weekend?
I finally have a chance to post the pictures of the little mini book that the ladies got to make. So heres photos of the 4 inside pages. I forgot to take a photo of the outside cover for the book. All stamps are Hero Arts.
Inks are from Tsukineko and the blings are also Hero Arts.

The weekend was pretty busy and hectic. My neice graduated on Sunday. Here's a shot of the group photo. This was just a few members of the family. She's the one with all the leis. Time sure flies by fast.
Have a good evening everyone!

More Mother's Day...

Okay, so heres what I made my mother-in-law. I scraplifted
the album idea from a make-it take-it I did at Memory Trends 2006, last October. And I can't remember exactly what company offered it. But it was made out of a white portfolio. I used all my leftover scraps from the recipe swap that I made for Jen's recipe swap. I'll post a picture of that later. For the inside of this album, I printed wallet sized photos from her birthday party back in April. The inside is divided in 3 parts and I made cards to stick in there.
Heres what the inside looked like. When you take the cards out, there are pictures at the bottom of each card.

You can't see it in the first picture but on the 2nd picture you can see what it looked like when
you pulled the cards out of the pockets.
She really loved it and so did the rest of the family.
And here is the recipe card that I made for Jen's recipe swap. The leaves look almost black in this
picture but it's actually a nice olive green color.

I will post the little minibook on my next post because this one wore me out putting up all the pictures.
TTFN!

Weekend Recap

As usual, I'm late again in posting highlights of the weekend. Well, hope you all had a nice Mother's Day!!! I did and my daughter surprised me with this... She said she went to Watanabe Florals and picked the flowers and even the pink vase. She knows my fave color is pink. And I found a card tucked under the
comforter on my pillow and was quite surprised as I got ready for bed. The card brought tears to my eyes. It was a Hallmark moment.
My son stopped over on Saturday with a DVD player for my Mother's Day gift. He worked on Sunday so he wanted to see me before then. Both of my kids work on Sundays every year and I never get to spend Mother's Day with them.
My crafty sista Teri came over on Saturday and we spent all afternoon working on this Sizzix class project that my hubs had at his store last month. The Sizzix designer is just awesome and a bunch of ladies made this cute scrapbook album out of envelopes. We did this tutorial so you'll be able to make one for yourself. Check it out in a few days at his blog because I still have to work on the tutorial. You'll be able to buy the supplies from his store to make this project. Here's a couple of pictures of what we made.
And here we are trying to take pictures of ourselves. Can you tell whose holding the camera???
We had so much fun making this project that it took us 4 hours between all the talking, laughing and shooting photos for the tutorial. I was surprised that we even finished it. But we also made other scrappy items too.
And if you remember on one of my back posts, I
made a card for a make-it take-it coming up this weekend. Well, I changed my mind about the card and made this cute little scrapbook for the make-it take-it instead. The whole book was made using Hero Arts clear stamps and a couple of wooden
stamps. I will show the rest of the book on my next post.
Hope you're all having a great Tuesday! I have to get back to work because this post took longer than I expected.

Last Week Sunday
We took our cars back to Tony Honda and left with 2 brand new cars. Our leases had expired so it was time to turn the cars in and get the newbies. I just love the smell of a brand new car. And the riding is so smooth... It was sad to let go of my old car but it's
always nice to get a new one. Heres some photos that I took. See the car on the left, thats my baby. The one on the right is my hub's car.

Now here's Brian driving
up with my new car. See, I
got the same color.
My hubs got the same car but he got it in black.
How crazy is that??? We
have the same cars.

Here's the 2 Brians that sold us the cars. Hey, if you want to get a Honda, go see the 2 Brians. They gave us outstanding service!

Oh, and I did not forget. I
made my hubs pick out the winner for the RAK.
And the winner is......
l8ybug2!!! The correct answer was... my hubs was pumping gas while I waited
in the car. I guess it was a little hard to figure out what he was doing in the rain but I must say that a bunch of you ladies hit it right on the nose. So l8ybug2, please email me with your addy so I can send your package out.
Have a great Saturday everyone cause I gotta get ready before my sista Teri shows up. We scrappin' today and I'll post pictures later. TTFN!

A quick one

I made this card for a make-it take-it a couple weeks ago. I used Tsumugi paper for the card and Hero Arts stamps. And the button is not really a button, its a Quickutz die.

This card is another make-it take-it for next weekend. I used Tsumugi paper again and Hero Arts clear stamps. The solid circle background is a Hero wooden stamp. And I took out my scallop scissors to add an edge to the piece of scrap I used for a border. I may change the color for the flowers. Not quite sure yet. And it's not that bright as it looks.
Sorry these pictures are dark and bright but I'm still learning how to use my Canon Rebel XTI.

I made these tags a couple months ago. I was playing around and used Hero wooden and clear stamps. The bird is an Autumn leaves clear stamp. Tags are from scraps of Tsumugi paper. Ribbons are from various companies.

And tonight, I will hopefully have time to start on
Jen's recipe swap. My first time doing a swap and
I have to make 10 of the same thing. Whoa...
Gosh, this turned out to be kinda long. Just wanted to share a few things.
Have a great Monday everyone!!!

"It's RAK Time"
So, because today is National Scrapbook Day, I feel like giving a RAK. I have this book from Autumn Leaves called "Perfectly Clear" and it has some great ideas using clear stamps. And how many of us love idea books???
Well, all you have to do to win this book is tell me what my hubs is doing in this photo. I took this photo on a rainy day. Guess the correct answer, and you will win this book! (Hint) I was dry.
Okay, so don't be a lurker because I want to meet everyone who reads this blog and tell your friends too. No be shame cause I may add extra goodies in with this book. So post a comment with the correct answer and I'll have him pull a winner in a week.
Happy NSD!!!
