I haven't been around much lately because I'm still trying to catch up on my scrapbooking. Still working on 2008. I made this cake box couple weeks ago and went through different colors of cake but as always, ended up making it chocolate which is what I initially wanted. This is a Sizzix scoreboard die called cake box. It was real easy to make. You have to cover your chipboard with paper first before you die cut the pieces out. I ran all the paper through my Xyron Creatopia machine. I bought the tealight candles from Ben Franklin Crafts. You get 4 tealights in the package. I used the Sizzix 3-D flower die to decorate around the tealight.
When you take the cover off, the inside looks like this. Its quite big and can hold a bunch of goodies in it.
I made the border with the Martha Stewart loopy punch. You cut a strip of paper 3/4" wide. I discovered the size of this when I dug out a scrap from my stash and started punching along both sides.
First, using the loopy punch, you punch along one side of your strip of paper.
Then turn your paper strip over to the other side and punch along the strip.
You end up with this cute loopy border.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday!
