Spring Emma

Couple weeks ago while I was in the store, I saw these new egg nestabilities from Spellbinders and knew that I wanted to make something with it. I thought Spring Emma would be so cute sitting on one of the eggs. For the card background, I used a Quickutz embossing folder that I bought from Stamps & Memories. The embossed oval die is from the Hello Kitty spring set. For some reason, her cheeks came out looking splotchy.
This next picture is a purse favor that I made using a Sizzix XL die called purse with ornate flap.
I used a Sizzix embossing folder for the dots background and made the flowers from the flower layers sizzlit set.
Well, I'm on my way out to some appointments this morning and grab myself a Starbucks coffee. Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a great Tuesday morning!

Easy treat holder

I totally forgot that I had this stamped image sitting on my craft table for weeks now. This is from the GF's cheeky collection called cheeky glamour. When my girlfriend Cheri was here last September, she left me this Sizzix die called "layered elegant card". I didn't want to make a card so I changed it into a treat holder using the fold technique. Here's a side view of the treat holder and I stuck a package of rice crackers in there and it fit perfect.
The embossed white background is from the Hello Kitty spring set and I also used Spellbinders large scallop ovals in both large and small sizes. Glitter paper is from Trimcraft.
Hope you're having a wonderful Monday and thanks for stopping by today!!!

Have a magical day!

Yesterday in the late afternoon, I spent several hours cleaning my sample room aka craft room. Everytime there is a new release of sales catalogs, I have to purge out the old. So after 6 trips up and down 25 stairs, I took a break. Starbucks coffee break... and dessert break... and craft break...
I made this bag called "peek a boo bag" using a Sizzix 12x12 pro die. It was one of the simplest bags I ever made. It takes 1 sheet of 12x12 paper and you fold on the crease lines and that's it. No glue or adhesive! You can fill it with goodies and close the top of the bag with a ribbon.
Stamps used are from Hero Arts called "magical castle". To make the grass, I used the Martha Stewart fringe scissors.
Here's a side view of the bag. I tried to get a good photo but sometimes what I see through the camera isn't exactly the angle that I am trying to get. Anyways, the side is a triangle and the top of the bag flaps over.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a magical day!!!

Polka dots or stripes

Yesterday, I did a make & take at the store. This was actually planned for last Saturday, but the store was closed in the morning because of the tsunami watch. We used the Sizzix Big Shot Pro machine to make this pocket card holder. It is a 12x12 die and I thought it would be nice to let everyone try out this new machine. The scallop circle is on one of the A6 card dies but you can also buy it separate. It is one of the movers and shapers die. I couldn't decide which Pebbles paper to use so I gave everyone a choice of polka dots or stripes. And polka dots was the favored paper to use.
We used Quincy from Dandelion Designs for the stamped image. He's such a cutie! And instead of putting a card in the pocket, I gave everyone nori rice crackers to put in the pocket.
Well, I'm off to craft with some ladies today and hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Back to school

When my husband gave me this stamp back in January, the first thing I thought of was my daughter who recently went back to college to take a couple of classes this year.I used the Sizzix gatefold card die to make the card. Stamp is from TGF. Background stamp is raindots background from Hero Arts. Spellbinders nestabilities Label 3 and paper is white core from DCWV.
The inside says, "hang in there". LOL! So far she has been and I don't know how she works full time at a nursing home, part time at a kid's store and goes to school 5 days a week.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a great Monday!!!

Sweet girl day wishes

Girl's day is coming up next week and I thought I'd make something using Dandelion's new stamps and I wanted to use up these scraps that I had lying on my table. Can you tell that I love the color pink? This paper is by Pebbles and it's 2 sided. I came across it while fixing the paper rack at the store last Saturday.
Anyways, we are using some of this paper tomorrow for the make & take at the store. Hope to see you there! Have a great weekend!!!

Baby bunny

While I was at the store over the weekend, I saw this Sizzix baby bunny die which I never used before and thought it would be perfect to make something for Easter. I made a Christmas treat holder back here in 2008 exactly like this. The eggs are from last years Hello Kitty spring release. And instead of using the MS fence punch, I decided to use this new MS punch instead. I used the Hero Arts dot cling stamp for the background. It is one of my favorite background stamps and I love dots! I actually had the regular m & m's in the bag at first but it somehow didn't match with the colors. So I found a bag of these pink and white m & m's and it looks so much better.
Hope you're having a great week so far. I can't believe how quickly the month has gone by. Thanks for stopping by today!!!

The gigantic pillowbox

Seriously, this pillowbox is huge! This pillowbox is a 12x12 die for the Big Shot Pro machine. You can fit a lot of stuff in here or even a tee shirt too. The finished box is 8" x 5". I actually had to look twice when I first saw the size of this box. LOL! Once again, all stamps used are Hero Arts. The lace border punch is a Martha Stewart punch.
I stamped the polka dots on the background with the dotted cling background stamp.
Hope you're all keeping warm today. I had to get a new battery for my car this morning. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!!!

Hey birthday girl

I have no idea why I made a birthday card since none of my gf's birthdays are in February. But, I had this image already stamped and colored and I found the birthday wishes scrap on my table so I was able to finish this quite fast. I have been wanting to make an easel card for awhile and thought this would be perfect for it.
There are a couple of new things here that I just bought from the store. First, I had to try out this new glitter embossing powder from American Crafts. It is so pretty and embosses well. I used it on the flourish background on this card. Secondly, I just love these new large scallop oval nestabilities from Spellbinders. I bought the ovals and also the square and rectangles. All the stamps used here are from Hero Arts. I found the easel card instructions on Splitcoasters.
Well, thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful rest of the day!!!

Kathy bunny I need help...

Last night my husband said that I'm sick and need help for my shoe addiction. He's probably right. After all, I only bought 3 pairs of boots and they were all on sale. Ha!I've had this Hello Kitty die since it was first released and never used it. I thought it would be perfect with this box. It is called the round top box and is one of the Sizzix Pro dies, a 12x12 size die. The top flaps right over and tucks into the box. I like the fact that you can now use 1 piece of paper to make the boxes and bags and not have to cut 2 or 3 pieces like some of the XL dies require.
This was our make and take for this past Saturday at the store. We made a matchbook candy favor using Hero Arts dots cling stamp for the background and Dandelion stamps for the cover.
This is what the inside looked like with the lifesaver candy stapled into the matchbook. So cute and simple. This is a picture of the cute candy bag that my sweet gf Teri made for me for Valentine's Day! It is the cutest thing with a candy cup in the front of the bag filled with dew drops. She used all Stampin Up supplies to make this favor bag. As you can see, all the chocolate treats are gone because I ate them right after she gave it to me last week.
Hope you all had a nice Presiden't Day yesterday! I spent my day shopping and did quite a bit of damage besides buying all the boots. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great Tuesday!!!

I'm back!!!

I'm back, finally. I tried to post something last week but I spent most of my days catching up and working on orders. And I guess I got a little lazy myself and didn't get a chance to post these.
Then I got a bad stomach bug over the weekend and I'm feeling much better now. This bird cage is a soon to be released Tim Holtz Sizzix die. My husband got this from taking the Sizzix class at CHA. And the cute bird is a leftover from my last make & take at the store. The glitter paper is from Trimcraft.
This next box is an XL box from Sizzix called heart box with key. I poured chunky white glitter over the key. This box actually holds quite a bit of chocolate kisses. One of my husband's customers was so sweet and made us these cute tic tac holders. Not sure what company the frog stamp is from but it's really cute!
I tried to post from the show but for some reason I couldn't get my phone to upload the pictures.
Well, thanks for stopping by today and I hope to get myself back into the groove.

Happy girl

Wow, guess it's been awhile since I last posted anything crafty. I made this card after Christmas but didn't put it together until last weekend. This is from the Happy Girls cling stamp set from Hero Arts. The background stamp is called flourish background. And this border punch is from Fiskars. One of my new toys that I bought recently.
This is the make & take we did last Saturday at J's. The bigger heart is cut out from the Sizzix XL die, heart in hearts. The 2 punches are from EK Success and stamp is Dandelion Designs. Here is the side view of the candy box. And the box with the cover off. The chocolate heart shaped candy fits perfectly in the box.I had left over scraps and made a simple card with Martha Stewart paper and her lacy border punch.
We're getting ready to leave for CHA in just a few minutes. I'll be posting from the show.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!!!

Hugs

I finally made something with this Sizzix XL die that I got from the store last year. The die is called Heart with Hearts. It is a heart shaped card and perfect to make Valentine cards. There are extra heart shaped pieces on the die that you can cut to use with the card. I used Hero Arts new "sweet wonderful you" clear stamp set for the girl and the words. The pink heart is stamped from a Hero Arts cling stamp called flourish background.
I stamped the inside of the card with you're a great friend from the sweet wonderful you set. I didn't realize that tiny checked patterned paper can make you dizzy when you look at it. LOL!
Today is my daughter's birthday and I forgot to take a photo of the card that I made for her. Anyways, we're off to lunch and some girlie shopping time today.
Tomorrow I'll be at Ben Franklin Crafts in Mapunapuna taping 2 live tv shows for the Joy of Crafting. If you're in the area stop by and say hello and don't forget that it is coupon day.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!!!

You're the best!

Yesterday, I went to Ben Franklin Crafts to pick up some supplies for one of my projects for this Saturday's tv show taping and I saw this really cute Martha Stewart paper pad. Of course I had to buy it. Plus, it's double sided so you get two different prints on each paper. I made this card using the new Hero Arts stamp set called "Sweet Wonderful You". I also used the word stamp from "You're the Best" stamp set. The punch I used is a MS heart doily punch that I picked up from the store.
How was your New Years? I slept through all the fireworks since I was sick and I still have a froggy voice. Hope it clears up before Saturday.
Have a wonderful evening and thanks for stopping by!!!

Happy New Years to you!!!

Hope you all had a great Christmas! I'm still recovering from losing my voice. I saw my doctor the day before Christmas and from then on, it was downhill all the way. I think my husband enjoyed the quiet days but I was going bonkers not being able to talk. LOL! I made this box last week after I gave up on another box that I was working on. I got distracted while looking at this die. This BAB die from Sizzix is actually quite cute and can be used on a number of things.
This box is called Box #3 and it was initially a Crafter's Home exclusive die but is now available to all the stores. It is a very big box and can probably hold a mini loaf of banana bread. This next box is a new die from Sizzix called ornate box. It's a smaller version of Box #3 but with a cut out window on the cover. I used some new girlie stamps from Hero Arts. I made a bunch of these to give away.I think I overdid the blush on her cheeks.I just have a few more to make and then I'm finished. Here's a photo of the side of the box so you can see the size of it compared to the first box on this post.
Well, I want to wish all of you a very Happy New Years and thank you for always visiting my blog!!! See you in 2010!!!

Wishing you lots of merry!

I've been busy the last couple days finishing up on some Christmas cards and last minute shopping. This first card actually started off in a whole different color scheme but I kept changing my mind and this was the end result. Do you ever do that too?I love this Dandelion stamp. It is one of my favorite holiday stamps. The word stamp is from Hero Arts. The snowflake border punch is from EK Success.
I've had this box sitting on my table for several weeks now. I kept putting it to the side everytime I got distracted with something else. It is an XL die from Sizzix called popcorn box. It turned out just the way I wanted it. The size is quite big and great for putting treats in it. The snowflake is a Sizzlit die that I glittered with stickles and topped it off with a gemstone. These are so cute! One of my husband's customers made these his and hers snowman covered Hersheys candy bars. The packaging is so cute that I'm afraid to eat the candy in it. LOL!
Well, I can't believe that Christmas will be here in 2 days and then it's New Years. I'm so grateful for all the friends that I have made this past year through this blog and I really appreciate all the wonderful comments you left on my posts.
Enjoy the holidays and Merry Christmas!!!

Happy Holidays!!!

I spent a couple days last week finishing our Christmas cards for this year. I wish I could say that's us in front of our home but it isn't our home. It was taken on one of our trips from this year. I used Bo Bunny cardstock for the base of the card. The stamp is of course Hero Arts and I am loving the new metal gemstones. They look like brads without the long metal legs. The punch is from Fiskars which I bought from Stamps & Memories awhile back.
Here's a quick giftcard that I made using the Sizzix XL giftcard holder die. I used Baxter from Dandelion (hope it's the correct name) and the word stamp is from Hero Arts. Sorry the photo is so dark. It is a pretty blue IRL.
Well, Christmas is coming up real fast and I still need to finish shopping hopefully today. My craft room is a mess and I am working on more Christmas cards and tags.
Tomorrow I'll be posting the Hero Arts cards that we made yesterday at the store. It was funny because I didn't expect such a big turnout with people doing their Christmas shopping. But, it was great to see everyone again and lots of new faces too.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great Sunday!!! We're off to exercise and then we have a party to attend.

Where have I been?

This past Saturday I had a make & take at the store using one of the new Sizzix scoreboard dies being released this month. These dies will only cut chipboard or matboard and scores all the crease lines for you. Here is the business card holder we made. This box will hold up to 32 business cards. You can also put a giftcard in it too. Here is the Sizzix Santa sleigh pop-up card that I finally got around to finishing. It's been sitting on my work table for weeks now. The sleigh is quite easy to put together. You can put anything in the sleigh but I decided to use the Santa sizzlit set to decorate it. The tree is an EK Success punch that I made to look 3-D and also to add some color to the card.
Santa looks quite tanned but it was the only skin colored paper that I could find in my drawer of scraps. Here is the make & take that I did for Crafts In The City on Wednesday. The cone was made using the Sizzix circle scallop die. We texturized the paper and die cutted snowflakes and attached some red bling and of course I had a cute package of candy to put in the cones.
Now I'm working on the make & takes for the Hero preview party next weekend at the store. Hope you can come and join us.
Thanks for stopping by today. I really appreciate reading all your nice comments. I hope to do some Christmas shopping this weekend. Have a great weekend!!!

The new pillowbox

I've been anxious to see the new pillowbox die that Sizzix just released. It's a different twist on the pillowbox die. At first I was a little confused while assembling the box because of the pleats on the side of the box. I didn't know what piece went where. But the instructions is so easy to follow that it turned out to be quite easy. I made a chipboard ornament out of the flower tag die and attached it to the box.The weight of the ornament made the box a little top heavy since I didn't fill the box with anything so I had to tape the box down to take the photo. You can sort of see the pleat on the side of the box. Here is a shot of the back of the box. See on the top where the box closes? That's where it looks exactly like the pillowbox. The bottom of the box is flat so that is what makes this box look different.
Tomorrow I will be at the store doing a Sizzix make & take from 10-12 pm. I listed the supplies to bring on the site. Hope you can join us!
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great Friday!!! I'm off in a bit to have lunch with my gf Teri.
