Remember the movie "Finding Nemo"? Well this turtle kind of reminds me of the turtle in the movie even though it's not really him. But isn't he cute? This is from the Sizzix sea animal set that was released last month.
Here's a close up of him. And here's the deets used:
Sizzix sea animal set, Cuttlebug embossing folders swiss dots and (not sure what the other dotted one is called), Sizzix frame die, and Hero Arts stamps.
If you're in for a cute little Christmas project to make, I'll be at Ben Franklin Pearl City this Saturday doing a make-it take-it for their paper party.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday!

Checking in again
Yesterday, I went downstairs to reorganize my craft room because I could barely walk in there. All my Sizzix dies have been piling up along the floor in piles, there are many catalogs in piles, and samples stacked up in piles, and boxes everywhere also in piles. My husband who loves junk shopping brings home deals that he finds for me every now and then. I'm lucky because he really finds me some nice units to store all these things. So yesterday I finally got around to putting up another storage unit he brought home. This one fits all my XL Sizzix dies perfectly. Now the walkway is cleared and I can start cleaning out all the samples that's laying around. This is where I find stuff that I didn't know I had.
Between all the cleaning, I also scrapped another page of our trip. I keep thinking when is this all going to end because I need to start working on our album from CHA winter of this year.
Anyways, back to the cards I made the other day. Here is one that I really didn't know what to do with once I started it.

I just kept it simple since I was really trying to focus on the embossing folders that were used. This is the new pumpkin embossing folder and I can't remember the name of it.
And see that pumpkin??? Yes, it's another old die that I found in my drawer. Not sure if there is any left in the store but there might be some at other stores in town. I like these old dies because they cut through thick chipboard as you can see in the photo. Well, it's Saturday and time for me to go shopping at the mall. Have a great weekend!

This little piggy...
I've had this Sizzix little piggy die for awhile and even forgot that I had it. I was looking through my drawer for something else and came across it. And... I actually bought this from another store since J's didn't have it. I used the new woodgrain embossing folder for the background and punched out all those circles. Glued them all one by one. I have more cards to share and will be posting them each day. Thanks for stopping by and have a great evening!

Another dollar and some Dandelion's
I'm still working on my scrappy layouts and trying to finish the album. In between that, I take breaks and stamp cards. I pulled another $1 stamp out and worked on this Halloween card. When I first saw that spider web embossing folder, I almost didn't get it because I didn't know what to use it for. Now I'm using it on all the Halloween cards. LOL!
And I used my Martha punch again. It just adds a little touch to the card.Added some Hero Arts bling to the punched out design. Inside of the card is stamped with "Happy Thanksgiving", another Dandelion Designs stamp.
That cute little ghost stamp is a Dandelion Designs stamp. Here's a close up of the stamps and the layering. Inside of the card is stamped with "Happy Halloween".
And while I was at it, I also made a Thanksgiving card. The turkey looked so lonely and untouched in my bin. I glittered his feathers and beak. Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions, just email me.

Dollar stamps
Yes, I have to admit that every now and then, I get sucked into buying $1 stamps. It's cheap and for the money you get quite a few stamps. And I also have quite a bit of them too. Here I stamped this cute little giraffe from Imaginisce. I decided to use my stars nestabilities once again and I ended up making this card. Here's a closer view so you can see the different embossing folders I used.
I love the cute words that come with this dotted embossing folder.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you all have a great weekend!

The bean
I didn't realize how long it's been since my last post. So much going on in my life right now that I haven't had the chance to post more layouts from our trip.I worked on this layout today after I finished some other projects that I had on my craft table. I went to Ben Franklin Crafts today to pick up that Martha Stewart lace border punch that you see in my layout. And while I was at it, I bought the paper that my layout is on and some other designs. I have so much paper but I couldn't pass this one up. I love American Crafts paper. I know this is another pinky layout but it's my favorite color.
These pictures crack me up because we look like dorks! Haha! We were touching the bean.
Thanks for stopping by and if you have questions, email me. I love hearing from people who read my blog. Have a great evening!

Catch-up
Sorry, I've fallen behind on posting my layouts. I worked on this layout several days ago but haven't had a chance to post it. Too many things going on right now. These are photos of famous buildings as you walk up the Magnificent Mile. I tried to get a closer up photo but my camera was being stubborn or maybe it was me. Here's the deets: Love Elsie cs and printed paper, MM clear alphas, and Quickutz dies. Can you believe that I found a sealed bag of these SU papers that I bought from my gf Teri? I didn't even look to see what kind of printed papers were in that bag. I love this pink with polka dots paper and I know it looks girly but it actually came out okay with these photos. Here's the journaling. All the stamped pieces are Hero Arts stamps. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!!
