Please click on the navigation button on the right side of my blog to get to the next designer's blog. You can hop either forward or backward.
This die can make 3 different sized treat bag toppers. I used the biggest size to make my treat bag and kept it real simple.

Santa Emma

The other day while digging through one of my drawers, I found this CC Designs stamp that I forgot I had, and of course never got to use it. This one is Santa Emma and she's a cutie. I had an extra stool colored from my last card so I got to use it with this one.The background I used is another Tim Holtz embossing folder called holiday words. It is in the set with the calendar folder. I used his distress ink called shabby shutters over parts of the embossed words and highlighted parts of the edges of the card with stardust stickles.
The pretty rose on the ribbon was given to me from Joy and I'm not sure what company it is from.
Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to come back this Thursday for the last Sizzix triple play blog hop project!
Have a great Tuesday!!!

Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop Week 6 - Wish Shaker Card

Welcome back to the Sizzix triple play blog hop week 6! It's been a whole lot of fun and next week will be our last project. For this week's project, we are using a bigz XL die called "album brackets" by Brenda Pinnick. If you click on the Sizzix navigation bar on the right side of my blog, it will take you to the next designer's blog.
For this week's project, I decided to make a shaker card using the die cut pieces that were sent in my packet. I used the smaller label die cut piece to make the shaker part of the card. For the window part, I used Tim Holtz's mover and shaper wish die.
The candy cane is cut out of Sizzix chipboard and I went with a green and white candy cane. I used chunky white glitter on the white parts of the candy cane. The flower is from the flowers 3-D die.
I used a Hero Arts stamp and embossed the words with white embossing powder on the inside of the card.

December

Wow, it's been awhile since I actually used my copics to color a CC Designs image. Here I used Cookie Emma sitting on her stool eating her chocolate chip cookie which is one of my favorite cookies.
The embossing folder is called December calendar by Tim Holtz. I really need to start working on my Christmas cards and do some Christmas shopping.
The snowflake is from this year's snowflake #3 die. I used MS silver glitter on the snowflake. This was a leftover snowflake from one of the make & takes Cheri and I did at Ben Franklin Crafts.
Hey, don't forget to come back on Thursday for the Sizzix triple play blog hop. We are on week #6 and next week will be our last week.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're all having a wonderful day!!!

Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop Week 5 - Gingerbread Man Giftcard Holder

Hello and welcome back to week 5 of the Sizzix triple play blog hop. Please click on the navigation bar on the right side of my blog to get to the next designer. You can hop either forward or backward. For this week's project, we are using Karen Burniston's gift card holder, 3-D pop-up die. I have actually made quite a few gift card holders with this die prior to this week's project.
To decorate the front of my card, I used all Hero Arts stamps. For the gingerbread man, I embossed him with white embossing powder and cut around the stamped image and stuck pearl gemstones for his eyes. The stamp is from a set called Christmas trio.
On the green card background, I used a stamp called happy festive background. And the word is from a stamp set called magic of Christmas.
When you open the card, the gift card holder pops up with the phrase "for you". There are many different themes that you can make with this die. I went with a Christmas theme only because this month is Christmas.
Sorry that the photos are kind of bright but taking photos today was a little challenging due to the rainy weather we were having and I tried my best to make it brighter. Hope it's not blinding you.
Supplies:
656740 - Gift card holder, 3-D pop-up
Hero Arts stamps - LP177 Christmas trio, S5446 Happy festive background, CL462 Magic of Christmas
Pearl gemstones
White embossing powder

Wish

About a week ago, I was at the store and saw the metal base trays that just came in from Sizzix and knew I had to get one for myself. You know how it is, if it catches your eye, you have to buy it. I love the idea of being able to do cut outs on the shaped dies. There were a bunch of these mini mover and shapers dies that can be used on the metal tray. So I got both Tim Holtz winter wonder and wish die and made this snowman. The pillowbox is a Big Shot Pro die. You can make your own gift packaging with this die.
The embossing folder is a Basic Grey set called Sugar and Starry Night.
Hope to see you back this Thursday for this week's Sizzix Triple Play Bloghop. I know it's Thanksgiving but wait till you see this week's project!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me your sweet comments! Have a great day!!!

Good morning and welcome back to week #3 of the Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop. For this week's project, we used Brenda Pinnick's beauty bloom flower die. There are several different sized flowers on the die but I decided to use only one of them. I made the flower using Tim Holtz's rose flower technique and glued and poured chunky white glitter over the petals. The box is cut from the Eclips machine.
The cute deer is a new die release that I cut out of chipboard and glittered.

Christmas candy boxes

Yesterday, we had a make & take at J's. We made a box cut from the Sizzix Eclips machine and used Dandelion Designs stamps to decorate the cute little box.For the background, we used the snowflake stamp. Everyone picked one of the 4 different animals to use on their box. The stamps are: Ho ho ho, Fuzzy dog w/ wreath, Wrapped with love, and Stocking.
Tag is a Martha Stewart punch and to/from stamp and baker's twine. You can fill the box with mini candies.

Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop Week 2 - Christmas ornament shaker box

We're on week 2 for the Sizzix triple play blog hop. You can click on the navigation buttons on the right side of my blog to get to all the designer's blogs. For this weeks project, we are using the Sizzix twist cube 3-D (pop-up) die by Karen Burniston.
I decided to make my cube into a Christmas ornament shaker box instead of a pop-up. For the red flowers decorating the box, I used Sizzix flower layers & tis the season die and outlined the edges with a Versa Marker pen. I used Holiday Emma stamp by CC Designs for the image on the box.
The shaker part of the box are from 2 different size circle punches. Word stamp and snowflake background stamps are from Hero Arts. I tied a ribbon to the top of the box so you can hang the ornament on the tree.

Make & take this Saturday 11/13

I will be doing a make & take at J's this Saturday, 11/13 from 10 - 12 pm. Please go to the site for the supplies that you will need.
Hope to see you there!!!

Oh deer!

Hope you enjoyed last week's Sizzix bloghop. Don't forget to come back Thursday for this week's project. For today's post, I've had this Hero Art's baby reindeer image sitting on my craft table waiting to be made into something. I went with another shaker card and a simple card idea. As I colored the antlers, I sort of went out of the lines so I covered it up with some red gemstones. The only problem I found is the little beads get stuck on the adhesive when you shake the card. The snowflake is from last years MS punch line.
The circle border punch is a large punch from EK Success. I thought it matched well with the oval scallops used on the shaker part of the card.
Well, thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to come back on Thursday to see what we made with this week's die pick. Have a wonderful Tuesday!!!

Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop Week 1 - Gingerbread and Candy Canes

Hello and good morning! I am so excited to be a part of the Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop - week 1. There are 60 designers participating in the hop and you can click on the button on my sidebar to get to the next blog. For this week's post, we were asked to make something using this Sizzix Pro Scoreboard 3-D House die by Eileen Hull. At first, I had no idea what I was going to make with what was in my packet. I went with pink because that is my favorite color and it matches the red and green Christmas colors. For the roof of the house, I used white chunky glitter to give it a snowy effect. Then I glued the edges using a white mini pom pom trim. All the stamps used are Dandelion Designs.
I put a tea light candle on the inside of the house. Here is a close up view of the light.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you are having fun stopping at everyone's blog!!! Don't forget to check back next week Thursday to see what we made with our next project. Have a great day!!!

Here Kitty

Today I made a couple of last minute treat boxes for Halloween. The first one is the Big Shot Pro milk carton box. I used CC Designs "kitty" stamp. The punch is a Martha Stewart punch around the page called cracks that I bought from J's. It reminded me of an animal print which is why I got it.The spooky fence die is from Sizzix.
The 2nd treat box is also a Big Shot Pro die called coffin with lid. I used CC Designs "witch" stamp. I found both of the stamps in the yellow tagged marked down bin at the store. This box can hold quite a bit of candy or treats in it. And I finally got to use this new Spellbinder's die called crown circles. This is really a nice die and it looks much better than the picture on the package.
Thanks for stopping by today and I really appreciate all your sweet comments! Have a great Halloween!!!

Eclips Halloween card

Hello and hope your Thursday is off to a great start. Well, yesterday I took out my Eclips machine and thought I'd try out some of the features that I haven't used yet. Which is the reason I chose to cut this haunted house. I like the fact that I can pick and choose which embellishment I want to cut and not have to waste any paper. It was so easy and everything fit perfectly as I put the colored pieces on the house. It made a big difference as you can see in this next photo. I wanted it to look dimensional, and not flat.
The haunted house and bats were cut from the Holiday cartridge.
The yellow background paper is embossed using the Tim Holtz Halloween night & poison folder set. The fence is also a Tim Holtz edge die called "on the fence". And the border punch is by EK Success and I can't remember the name.
Sorry if the photos look dark but I took them in my kitchen and today there is no sun.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Couple treat ideas

This is the project that we made at J's this past Saturday. We made the bag out of a Hero Arts envelope. I have tons of colored envelopes that I kept to use for something...someday. We used Hero Arts cling spiderweb stamp for the background, Dandelion Designs Count Baxter and give me something good to eat stamps. The punch is a MS punch called graveyard which I found in the yellow tagged marked down bin at the store. And this bag can hold quite a bit of candy too. Here is something I cut out with the Eclips machine which in my last post, I said I would show you. This is the the same "hanging bag" for the Big Shot Pro machine but now there is a cartridge that has all the same boxes and bags that you can cut out in different sizes. The cute spider and witch hat is from another cartridge called Holiday. I'm having fun going through all the different cartridges and cutting shapes out with my Eclips machine.
Keep checking back as I make different projects with the Eclips machine.
Also, if you noticed the Sizzix blinkie on the top right side of my sidebar, there will be 60 designers doing a Sizzix bloghop beginning November for 7 weeks. I feel so honored that they asked me to join them. It is so exciting and will be keeping me very busy too!
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a great Monday!!!

Let's go shopping

Lately, I've been taking out my Sizzix Eclips machine and trying to learn all the different features that this machine comes with. I am starting to get used to it but I have such a bad memory that I tend to forget how to get to where I want to go.
The machine is so amazing when it cuts that I couldn't believe how smooth and quick I was able to cut this ornate gate out. If you have this machine, this is on the holiday cartridge.
I used CC Designs "shopping" girl stamp since I do love to go shopping.
The border punch is a Martha Stewart punch called pinking scallops which I bought from the store.
I finally got around to making the pop-up bat. I decided to put it on this box (box #2) instead of inside a card. I glittered his wings with Doodlebug fine glitter.
Box #2 is a discontinued die but I'm sure some of the stores still have it.
And lastly, I decided to make a full bat to hang from the ceiling. You just have to cut out more circles to make a full bat.
Thanks for stopping by today and I know I haven't been posting much but check back here again to see the boxes that I cut out with the Eclips machine. Have a great day!!!

Boo!

My craft table has a lot of bits and pieces of scraps and punched out pieces laying on it. Some of these are from testing defective punches or dies. And while I was staring at the punched out bat and fence diecut, I picked up some other scraps and put them together to make this card. Very easy.
I embossed the background piece with a Sizzix batty folder and used Coordinations whitewash paper. Have you tried the Tim Holtz distress tool? It's great for distressing the edges of your paper.
I stuck googlie eyes on the bat which I found at Ben Franklin Crafts. The "boo!" is a new clear stamp from Hero Arts.
Hope you're having a great humpday! Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Trick or treat

This past Saturday I went to J's to do a make & take. We made this cute little Halloween treat box using an older Sizzix die called petal card. First we stamped the box using Hero Arts magical background cling stamp. Then we used the little monsters stamp from Dandelion Designs and everyone colored with copic markers. The trick or treat is a new Hero clear stamp. We used Memento inks for stamping. I love the smell of the inks. It has this sweet smell to it.
And lastly, we put stardust stickles on the monsters.
Thanks for stopping by today and hope you're having a wonderful Monday!!!

Fiona

Over the weekend while going through some packages, I came across CC Designs Fiona. Forgot that I had her but she was too cute to put away.
I started this off as a bag but ended up turning it into a card. For me, using printed paper is sort of out of my comfort zone. Especially plaid designs. This is BG's Olivia paper which I picked up from Stamps & Memories.
The label die is one of the new dies coming out soon from Sizzix. I used glossy accents on the cherries on Fiona's top but you can't really see it in this photo.
I'll be at J's this Saturday from 10-12 pm doing a make & take. We'll be making a Halloween treat box using Dandelion stamps. Hope to see you there.
Thanks for stopping by today and see you on Saturday!

Cat girl gift card holder

Sizzix has a new pop-up gift card holder die that was just released to the stores. At first I thought it looked a little complicated but, it turned out quite easy to assemble. The card base is a regular A2 card size. I decided to use CC Designs cat girl stamp for the cover of my card. The background spiders is a new Sizzix embossing folder set. And can you believe that the one color copic marker that I do not have is black? So I went with a purple cat instead. Here is what the inside looks like when you open the card. The gift card pops up.
I used the same stamp for the inside but stamped the image in purple.
The "Happy Halloween" is a new clear stamp from Hero Arts.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great evening!!!

Pumpkin

I am finally getting myself back into the swing of things. So yesterday while I was downstairs cleaning my craftroom (it really was a mess), I took out my copics and colored Pumpkin from CC Designs. And since I had the pumpkin nesties out, I decided to use the largest size to make another shaker card.Love the Coordinations whitewash papers that my husband just got in the store. I used Tim Holtz fades folder - retro dots for the background and highlighted it with stardust stickles.
There is something exciting in the works but I can't share until later. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great humpday!!!
