New Sizzix carry all box

Hi! I got a couple of new craft things over the weekend. I saw this new Sizzix die in the store and I know it looks like the old carry all box die but this one comes with 2 textured impression embossing folders and a "talking tag". Talking tag is one of the latest thing that Sizzix released this past summer. You do need a smart phone in order to use it. But what it does is, you can record a message on this QR coded sticker and stick it on your project and the recipient of your gift can listen to your message. It is the coolest thing!
Back to my box. I used Dandelion Designs newest stamp called "sakura frame".  And that "just for you" saying was sitting on my craft table from an earlier project so I decided to use it.
I used one of the textured impression embossing folders for the front of my box and dabbed some white ink on the raised dots.
I found this bottle of clear glitter in the store. It's called Tim Holtz distress clear glitter and I love the effect of it when I sprinkled it on the flowers.
And before I forget, if you want to win some Hello Kitty products, leave a comment on the post below. I will be drawing the winner tomorrow - Halloween!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!!

Hello Kitty Giveaway

Hi! A couple of weeks ago, the great folks at Horizon Group USA sent me a box filled with Hello Kitty scrapbooking products, all for free!!! I was told that these items are only available at the Michaels stores on the mainland.
These are the items that I received and much, much more!
So here are a few things that I made using products from the kit. And I still have lots of it left. (Warning, very long post ahead). First up is a pillow box which is in the 12x12 paper pad assortment. I used a Sizzix framelit die for the frame on the box. I wanted to show the red cherry gumballs that I put inside the box.
Next I used the square box that is also in the 12x12 paper pad. After I assembled it together, I chose one of the punch outs to decorate the box.
There is so much product just in the 12x12 paper pad!
And lastly, I decided to make a mini scrapbook album. I used a Sizzix pro die called pocket page and tag to cut the mini album. I used the different lists from the small memo pads and glued them on to the tags.
It was so easy to assemble everything. Here's the tag that I placed in the front cover.
This is the 2nd page of my album. I used stickers from the 12x12 paper pad to decorate all the pages.
These are the different lists that I placed on each tag.
Here is the 3rd page of my album.
And the lists that I used for these tags.
Here is the back of the album.
And the list that I used for the last tag.
Here's a view of the album opened. I used metal circle rings to hold everything together.
And now for the "giveaway"!!! Do you like free stuff? Especially if it's Hello Kitty stuff? Well, here's your chance to win a package of these Hello Kitty scrapbooking products. Just leave me a comment and if you just want to say hi, that is fine too. I will draw a winner on Wednesday, October 31st Halloween. Please make sure there is some way for me to contact you too.
Winner needs to be 18 years or older and a US resident. The package will be shipped directly from Horizon Group USA.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!!!

Another gimme candy box

Hi and happy Friday!!! I can finally post this because I had to make a bunch of them for tomorrow's stamp card get together. I cut this witches hat on my Eclips using the Ecal and SVG cuts. When you lift the triangle piece, the candy sits in the box which is sitting on the circle part of the witches hat. Sorry, I forgot to take a photo of it.
I cut the bat using the spooky cuties file from SVG cuts.
I used distress ink on the edge of the bat so it would stand out on the hat.
This past Monday, my husband and I went to eat brunch at this place in Kilohana Square called "Sweet-E's". Omg, the food was so ono! I had the waffles with fruit. And I remembered to take a photo of it after I had couple bites. Ha!
My husband had the chicken pesto meal. It looked like a pizza but it was actually a pita bread with chicken, cheese and pesto sauce. If you've never been there, go and try it out. The decor is country cottage beachy theme.
Well, the weekend is here and hope you all have a great one!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Action wobble pumpkin

Hi and happy Thursday! Lately, I've been using my Eclips machine to cut out favor boxes for Halloween. SVG Cuts has a new one for Halloween called "gimme candy boxes". This is the first box that I made. It is in the shape of a tombstone. So cute! Everything I cut is on the svg file. Even the spiderweb border.
I wanted to give the pumpkin more dimension and movement so I put an action wobble thingy behind it. The 2nd photo looks blurry because I was trying to take the picture of the pumpkin in action.
I stuck on those googlie eyes which I found at Ben Franklin Crafts.
I'll be back with another favor box that I cut from the same file.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Halloween Night and Pumpkin Kitty

I was so excited the other day when I received Dandelion Designs's new stamps for Halloween that I went straight to my craft room. I also love these new papers from Doodlebug Designs. I used Tim Holtz pocket envelope die for both projects. The first stamp is called Halloween Night.
I used distress ink for all the white edges. I can't remember the names of the inks I used but they were perfect for inking the edges.
I love this yellow striped washi tape from Freckled Fawn. I didn't want to put a ribbon on this so I went with the tape. If you plan to use washi tape on your projects, it's best to add some adhesive to it so it sticks permanently.
Here's the next pocket envelope using Pumpkin Kitty. This stamp set comes with the jack o lantern face and I felt so silly staring at it wondering how I could use it and then it hit me. I'm supposed to stamp it on the pumpkin! Lol!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit! Have a great weekend!!!

5 minute matchbook treat holders

Hi, and I'm back with some 5 minute matchbook treat holders. I was cleaning up my mess the other day and got distracted with the scraps on my table. Making this matchbook was so quick and easy using my Sizzix Tim Holtz matchbook die set. I used the Martha Stewart graveyard border punch to punch out the background and I had the spider stamped in a circle already laying on my table. I had planned to use it for something else.
The spider is a Dandelion Designs cling stamp from last years set.
And the word stamp is a clear Hero Arts stamp from last year too. I put some candy corn on the inside of the matchbook.
All the stamps on the smaller matchbook are Hero Arts. I used Tim Holtz's orange marmalade distress ink for the background behind the haunted house.
The circles are Sizzix framelits dies.
Here's what the matchbook die looks like.
Thanks for stopping by today!!! Have a great week!!!

Bunch of Hello Kitty gift card holders

Hi, I'm still here! I made these while spending my time at the hospital and rehab. I actually made these before and posted it on my blog several years ago but since I had to make a bunch of gift card holders, I thought I would make them again.
While at the hospital, a couple of the nurses would walk in the room and ask me questions and wonder what I was making while standing and using the tray table that goes over the bed. Lol! I had to make do with what little I had to craft on.
I hope everyone likes them. It actually took me awhile to put them together and I don't think I will attempt to do this again.
I used an older Hello Kitty bigz die that is no longer available to purchase.
If you get a chance this Saturday and want to do some crafting, I'll be at Ben Franklin Crafts Pearl City doing a make & take from 10:00 - 11:30 am. There's going to be a lot of other crafting tables and door prizes.
Have a great day and I hope to be back to posting again!!!

It's tea time

Hi again! I miss posting here but I've been a busy bee cleaning and straightening up my craft room. So many new product samples and catalogs coming in and no where to put it all.
A couple weeks ago, one of the ladies in the stamp group that I am in gave me a bag of "action wobbles". So I decided to use it for this card that I made yesterday using Dandelion Designs "tea time" set.
It's a cute springy thing that I placed in the back of the scalloped circle and when you pull it down, it springs back and forth.
It was hard to take a photo of it but I think you get the picture.
I love this paper pack by Basic Grey called Konichiwa and it fit perfectly with this new stamp set.
I may not be posting as much in the next month as I will be spending some time taking care of my son.
Also, I will be at the Paa St. Ben Franklin Craft store on Saturday, July 28th doing a make & take for their Crafting Carnival event. Hope you will stop by to say hello and spend some time crafting with me.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!!!

Sizzix candy jar

Hi again! I am still without my computer and am anxiously awaiting for the phone call to pick it up. In the meantime, I made this candy holder today using the Sizzix new candy holder die by Eileen Hull. Sorry that I don't have individual pictures of it but I put it together using a frame app on my phone.
The cute bear in the middle was dry embossed using a metal stencil that you can buy from Taj Clubhouse. It was one of my first times using their stencil and it took me awhile to figure it out. Lol!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!!

Princess castle star box

Hello everyone! I am posting from my husband's computer because I've been unable to connect to the internet from my computer. It's been taking awhile for the parts to come in so I still have another week to go with no computer. It's been frustrating but thank goodness for iPads. I wish blogger would let you  upload photos from your photo library in iPad.
In the meantime, I've been playing with my Eclips machine and using the Ecal software and cut files that I bought from SVG Cuts. Here is a star box that I cut from playful parlour.
It was so easy to use but I still need to learn how to use all the features in Ecal. If you haven't tried the Ecal, I would suggest you start playing with it to get more use out of your Eclips machine.
Thanks for checking back here even though I haven't been posting much lately.
Have a great weekend!!!

Telephone Marci

Hello and Happy Memorial Day!!! The last 2 weeks have been a little hectic and I didn't have a chance to practice what I have learned from Colleen who is teaching Copic classes at the store. So I picked up this new LaLa Land Crafts stamp called "telephone Marci" during the week and thought I would practice coloring her.
The card base is a Sizzix XL die called ornate #3. I cut the telephone out using the Eclips machine and cartridge boy & girl.
The sentiment stamp is also from the same stamp set and I used VersaFine black ink.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a great Memorial Day holiday!!!

A quick thank you card

Hi, I'm still here!!! I've been busy with Cheri from Sizzix in town. Here's a quick thank you flip it card that I made the other day. I used the Sizzix fancy frames flip-its die and fancy labels framelits and fancy frames #2 stamp set for the sentiment. The white border is a Tim Holtz die called washer border. Sorry forgot to take a photo of the inside of the card which says "thank you".
We went to brunch yesterday with Cheri and her husband at the Outrigger Canoe Club. Can you believe that all my years of living here, I've never been there??? It's a beautiful place to eat and look at the ocean.
We have another busy week and we are flying to Hilo too.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!!

Happy Mother's Day

It's been awhile since I last posted here. I worked on this card over the last weekend and then I got sick with either the stomach flu or food poisoning and now I'm feeling back to my normal self again. I picked up this Sizzix flower flip-it's die when it first arrived here and finally got a chance to make something with it.
The girls are from the Dandelion Designs "friends" cling set. I had some extras leftover from a bunch of cards that I made for a card group that I'm in. The sentiments are older wood stamps also from Dandelion Designs.
Paper is Doodlebug from the Hello Spring collection. I used Imagine Crafts - Memento black ink. It is one of my favorite inks these days. The pink border is from a Hello Kitty border die called ribbons.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!!
