Bunch of Hello Kitty gift card holders

Hi, I'm still here! I made these while spending my time at the hospital and rehab. I actually made these before and posted it on my blog several years ago but since I had to make a bunch of gift card holders, I thought I would make them again.
While at the hospital, a couple of the nurses would walk in the room and ask me questions and wonder what I was making while standing and using the tray table that goes over the bed. Lol! I had to make do with what little I had to craft on.
I hope everyone likes them. It actually took me awhile to put them together and I don't think I will attempt to do this again.
I used an older Hello Kitty bigz die that is no longer available to purchase.
If you get a chance this Saturday and want to do some crafting, I'll be at Ben Franklin Crafts Pearl City doing a make & take from 10:00 - 11:30 am. There's going to be a lot of other crafting tables and door prizes.
Have a great day and I hope to be back to posting again!!!

It's tea time

Hi again! I miss posting here but I've been a busy bee cleaning and straightening up my craft room. So many new product samples and catalogs coming in and no where to put it all.
A couple weeks ago, one of the ladies in the stamp group that I am in gave me a bag of "action wobbles". So I decided to use it for this card that I made yesterday using Dandelion Designs "tea time" set.
It's a cute springy thing that I placed in the back of the scalloped circle and when you pull it down, it springs back and forth.
It was hard to take a photo of it but I think you get the picture.
I love this paper pack by Basic Grey called Konichiwa and it fit perfectly with this new stamp set.
I may not be posting as much in the next month as I will be spending some time taking care of my son.
Also, I will be at the Paa St. Ben Franklin Craft store on Saturday, July 28th doing a make & take for their Crafting Carnival event. Hope you will stop by to say hello and spend some time crafting with me.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!!!

Sizzix candy jar

Hi again! I am still without my computer and am anxiously awaiting for the phone call to pick it up. In the meantime, I made this candy holder today using the Sizzix new candy holder die by Eileen Hull. Sorry that I don't have individual pictures of it but I put it together using a frame app on my phone.
The cute bear in the middle was dry embossed using a metal stencil that you can buy from Taj Clubhouse. It was one of my first times using their stencil and it took me awhile to figure it out. Lol!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!!

Princess castle star box

Hello everyone! I am posting from my husband's computer because I've been unable to connect to the internet from my computer. It's been taking awhile for the parts to come in so I still have another week to go with no computer. It's been frustrating but thank goodness for iPads. I wish blogger would let you  upload photos from your photo library in iPad.
In the meantime, I've been playing with my Eclips machine and using the Ecal software and cut files that I bought from SVG Cuts. Here is a star box that I cut from playful parlour.
It was so easy to use but I still need to learn how to use all the features in Ecal. If you haven't tried the Ecal, I would suggest you start playing with it to get more use out of your Eclips machine.
Thanks for checking back here even though I haven't been posting much lately.
Have a great weekend!!!

Telephone Marci

Hello and Happy Memorial Day!!! The last 2 weeks have been a little hectic and I didn't have a chance to practice what I have learned from Colleen who is teaching Copic classes at the store. So I picked up this new LaLa Land Crafts stamp called "telephone Marci" during the week and thought I would practice coloring her.
The card base is a Sizzix XL die called ornate #3. I cut the telephone out using the Eclips machine and cartridge boy & girl.
The sentiment stamp is also from the same stamp set and I used VersaFine black ink.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a great Memorial Day holiday!!!

A quick thank you card

Hi, I'm still here!!! I've been busy with Cheri from Sizzix in town. Here's a quick thank you flip it card that I made the other day. I used the Sizzix fancy frames flip-its die and fancy labels framelits and fancy frames #2 stamp set for the sentiment. The white border is a Tim Holtz die called washer border. Sorry forgot to take a photo of the inside of the card which says "thank you".
We went to brunch yesterday with Cheri and her husband at the Outrigger Canoe Club. Can you believe that all my years of living here, I've never been there??? It's a beautiful place to eat and look at the ocean.
We have another busy week and we are flying to Hilo too.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!!

Happy Mother's Day

It's been awhile since I last posted here. I worked on this card over the last weekend and then I got sick with either the stomach flu or food poisoning and now I'm feeling back to my normal self again. I picked up this Sizzix flower flip-it's die when it first arrived here and finally got a chance to make something with it.
The girls are from the Dandelion Designs "friends" cling set. I had some extras leftover from a bunch of cards that I made for a card group that I'm in. The sentiments are older wood stamps also from Dandelion Designs.
Paper is Doodlebug from the Hello Spring collection. I used Imagine Crafts - Memento black ink. It is one of my favorite inks these days. The pink border is from a Hello Kitty border die called ribbons.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!!

For you

Hello everyone! I bought a bunch of new Tim Holtz dies last week and had every intention of crafting all weekend long but of course that never happened. Last night I started making this as a gift card holder and finally finished it today. I used Tim Holtz die called "pocket envelope". Love this die! You can also use it to make mini books. The stamp is from Dandelion Designs "you're so sweet" set. The cupcake is from the "fuzzy bear #1 set.
I used inverted circles die from Cheery Lynn Designs and the circle is from Spellbinders. Patterned paper is Doodlebug.
Sentiment stamp is Stephanie Barnard's dragonfly die and stamp set.
Here's a photo of the back so you can see the gift card.
Thanks for stopping by today and leaving your sweet comments!!! Have a great rest of the week!!!

Another happy birthday card

Last Saturday, I had to make another birthday card because my husband saw the previous card that I posted here which I had planned to give to him on Sunday. I actually thought about buying a Hallmark card instead but then the guilt set in as I looked at all my craft supplies sitting there staring at me. I never got a chance to ink up this stamp from Dandelion Designs so I thought it would be a good time to use it. This stamp is from the "bubbles & smiles" set.Word sentiment is from Hero Arts and white lacy circle die is from Spellbinders.
I tend to use this layout for fast and easy cards. Patterned paper is by Echo Park.
Hope your week is going well! Have a great one!!!

Happy birthday flip-it card

Have you changed to the new blogger??? Oh my, I'm sort of having a hard time using it. I do love the new photo uploading part. It's so easy now.
Anyways, on to my card. This was the first paper that I cut using the new Sizzix circle flip-its but I didn't want to use it for my boy's day card in the post below. I had to make a birthday card for someone special and I wanted to use this Dandelion Designs stamp from the "have a great trip" stamp set.
Love this die! So easy to use and make a fast card. The reddish orange color was punched out using a Marvy circle punch that I bought from Ben Franklin Crafts awhile ago. The white circle is also a punch. Those punches come in handy when you need a circle.
Here's the flip side of the card. Sentiment is from Dandelion Designs "happy wishes" set.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!!

In the bag

That is the name of this Tim Holtz die for Sizzix. It's a perfect size for a small gift for someone special. I guess I've been a little lazy this week and forgot about posting this. Plus I've been preoccupied with my daughter since she had surgery this past Monday. I used Hello Kitty scraps from one of the make & takes I did awhile back for the front of the bag. Here's a side view of the bag. It actually has a crease going down the middle of the side but I think it looks better uncreased.
Come back again for the other project that I made last weekend.
Have a great weekend!!!

Happy Boy's Day card

I finally had the chance to sit down this evening to use this new Sizzix "flip-it" circle die by Stephanie Barnard and make a card with it. I used Dandelion Designs new Happy Boy's Day stamp set.
The scalloped circle is a framelits set from Sizzix.
The flower border is an EK Success border punch. I haven't touched this punch in awhile. Almost forgot that I had it.
Here's the flip side of the card.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great Easter!!!

Bunch of Kitty's

I've been busy making a bunch of these caddy bags for Easter. I used Eileen Hull's caddy bag scoreboard die from Sizzix and sitting Hello Kitty with dress and shoes. I cut the fence using the Easter cartridge for the Eclips machine.
Paper is from Imaginisce.
I forgot to put the bling on the bow before I took these photos.
Tomorrow I will fill these with Easter candies.
Thanks for stopping by and hope your week is going great!!!

Happy Easter Kenji

Hi again!!! I made another shadow box card. I'm not sure what it is called but I wanted to finish it. This started as an Easter card but I ended up using Kenji from Dandelion Designs and put the bunny ears from the Happy Easter set on him.
Here's the inside of the card and the sentiment is also a Dandelion Designs stamp.
I'm not sure if you noticed that when you leave a comment now, the comment moderation is on. I've been getting really bad spam that I couldn't figure out a way to block them.
Hope you have a great weekend!!!

Another Keiko card

Happy Thursday!!! I have been busy making some thank you cards and thought I'd post this after I mailed them out. I wish I had a stash of them but I am one of those that never has any when I need it. I used Keiko from Dandelion Designs and stamped her with black Memento ink and colored with copies. I found this double heart punch from EK Success in the markdown bin at the store. The inside of the card uses the smaller part of the heart.
I chose this sentiment which is a cling stamp from Hero Arts.
When you open the card, it pops up with the sentiment inside of the popped piece. Here's a picture showing what it looks like. The sentiment is a Dandelion Designs stamp.
The card lays flat for mailing. The die cut piece is from a Hero Arts frame & stamp set and I can't remember the name. Gosh, my memory is bad.
I'm doing a make & take probably next weekend at the store using this card.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!

Keiko san

I have a pile of scraps and die cuts on my craft table so I decided to grab what I had and use it to make this card. I stamped the pink background piece with a new Hero Arts stamp called garden borders. And the stamped image is Keiko from Dandelion Designs.
The swirly oval die cut piece is from the Eclips cartridge called basic shapes.
I had to color her hair even though it is a solid piece because for some reason, it wouldn't stamp it dark enough. Does that make sense?
I'm still amazed at how clear my iPhone takes photos.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!!

Last weekends make & take

Last Saturday, I did a make & take at my husband's store. We make a cute little treat holder using Dandelion Designs new Easter cling set.
I used Echo park paper for the holder. There was very little to color which is why I chose the rabbit instead of the chick.
Here is the inside of the holder. It fits a treat size package of m & m's. We used a fastener tab (velcro) by Tombow to close the holder.
I am so amazed at how all my photos taken with the iPhone are so clear. I haven't used my camera in awhile.
Update on my daughter. She is doing much better but after all the scans, x-rays and ultrasounds, they found something in her abdomen and she has to have surgery real soon.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to post again later this week!

Happy Spring chick

Happy Friday!!! Yesterday I had quite a scare. My daughter who normally parks her car on the street blocks away from where she works, was runned over by a guy on a bike as she was walking to her car. She said she went flying and landed flat on her back. She passed out for about 5 minutes and said she felt dizzy. When she got up, she drove herself straight to urgent care to make sure nothing was broken. Anyways, I barely slept last night worrying about her and seeing her in so much pain. I don't know why people ride their bikes on the sidewalks!
Well, on to my project. I found this cute treat holder on Angie Juda's blog - Chic & Scratch. I decided to make my holder a little smaller to fit a Ghiradelli square. The back of this holder is the exact same as the front. I forgot to take a photo of it.
I used Dandelion Designs new Happy Spring set chick.
So glad that today is Friday. I can't believe how rainy and gloomy the week has been. Hope the sun comes out soon!
Have a great weekend and drive carefully in the rain!!!
